help!failed nclex 3x and unemployed
I have also failed 3 times, and can't seem to find a full time job. I have been a CNA/ HHA for almost 8 yrs. I have a billing and coding certificate also but can't seem to find a job in that either. I just work as a HHA with an Agency. I know what you mean by your relatives always asking. I feel so ashamed to tell them I failed 3 times. I felt disappointed, failure and let down my parents, but I'm picking myself up and going to do a refresher course cause it's mandatory by the Florida Board of Nursing if you failed 3 times. So it's more money I have to dish out, cause clinical's are also involved ( which I didn't think, since we went through all that in school) long hrs too. So like you I'm going to cut all negative people / thoughts from my life. We got this far right. Nursing school was not a piece of cake, and we made it through and graduated. So good luck to you and remember your not alone, I'm some what in the same boat as you.

Failed Nclex PN 3 times, don't know what to do now...
Thank you xtianp & meganmmann for the kind words. It's taking me a while to still adjust to failing 3 times since I have to hear about it everyday from my mother. I'm normally a strong person, but I cry out of the blue just thinking about it. Well I'm going to enroll into a refresher course because I can't write or get the Boards approval before I complete this course. So with time I'll be back on positive grounds, good luck to you both also :) and thank you again.

Failed Nclex PN 3 times, don't know what to do now...
I have taken the PN exam yesterday for the third time. I graduated last year Jan. Took the exam in March, July 2010 - Failed both times. I felt like a failure, disappointed to myself and especially my mother who is an old school RN, been a Nurse almost all her life. Big expectations. I finally procrastinated long enough the took it again. I feel as though I'm doing something wrong, I feel as if I'm not meant to be a nurse. I keep getting compared to all the LPN's who have children, family, works full time and passed their LPN where my mother works. I have been a Home Health Aide/ CNA since 2003. I went to school for Billing & Coding. Passed the Exam, but could not find a job in that position for 6 months. Finally found a job in the position, worked 1 year. Then my mother didn't think that was a good career. Kept telling me to enroll into Nursing School. So I did, full time. Got through all exams, clinical's etc. Graduated BUT can't seem to pass NCLEX- PN I am stuck. Will be 30 years next month with no career. I feel like a failure and that I disappointed my family. The worst thing is everyone from my Nursing Class passed. Two failed but had support in their lives, took it again and passed. If someone could please give me some advice on what to do. I want to take it again, but do you have to do a refresher class and then re-apply to the Florida Board of Nursing? or can you reapply again for the 4th time. I must be studying the wrong way, or not retaining the information properly. Any advice and tips will be gratefully appreciated. Thank You All for taking the time to read this.....

Need some more advice on passing Nclex- PN 3rd time
Thank you Tammy I would take your advice. I think that is what I have been doing sometimes memorizing the questions sometimes. Now I know how to apply what I know because I starred doing the Hurst QB question and a girl just gave me a Kaplan CD. So again Thank you for the encouraging words.

Need some more advice on passing Nclex- PN 3rd time
Hmmm until I can bring myself to a decent job of preparing ??? You don't know me or my situation at all. You give other people who has failed like 10 times a pat on the back. I know I will not be in a rut in 10 years cause I will pass this exam. I joined this forum cause of the support and advice and experience other people with smiliar situations. It's very hard all your life never having someone to support you. This is the only exam in my life that I have had to take that's giving me trouble. Damn if some people could take it 10 times and pass I know I can. So maybe Caliotter don't judge someone if you don't know there story.

Need some more advice on passing Nclex- PN 3rd time
Hi all I have taken the Nclex PN 2 times now and failed the second time. The first time my results were the low scores and Above in Pharm. The second time I took it in July 2010 my scores were Near passing for all and Above passing for Pharm. I have started studying in July 2010 but stopped. I just don't have the zeal to study. I know I have one more chance to take it but scared to death. I try to think positive but always remember when I prayed and all I thought were positive thoughts I failed. I even did the Hurst review my school was offering it and well the book has been sitting on my desk since July. Is there anyone who took it 2 times or even 3 with any words of wisdom.

failed NCLEX 2nd time
Don't feel bad your not the only one out there. I too took NCLEX 2 times also and failed. I have one more chance and have been putting it off since July. I started to study after the second time and will just gave up. Take your time you will start to feel better. Don't rush yourself to take it cause other people say when are you taking it again. Take it when you are ready. I felt like a failure and a big disappointment and till this day I still feel this nightmare always there cause I know I have to take it the last time. We made it though Nursing school and that was not easy. So take it easy and when you feel ready to start studying again you will feel better, and know you're not the only one out there. Hope you feel better.

Failed NCLEX-PN for the 2nd time, please help!!!
Prado: I have the Kaplan, Exam Cram and Saunder's but I will look into getting incridibily made easy 2nd edition book for lvn 3000 question and answer book and Nclex 3000 cd did abt 1500 questions. lovenursejm: I prayed and I felt God wasn't listening but then realized he helps people who helps themselves. I think I wasn't as serious enough with the studying. Sometimes I wake up and be in study mood, and other times not. Thinking to myself I have 3 mths ahead, how am I going to remember all this. They real do say if you don't Use it, you Lose it. lol. I really need to sit and understand the the rationale more. Thanks for the website, I will check it out. I am going back to my school for a Comp review that is held for the class that just graduated. I graduated in Jan, but it's free for us. So I will try again. Thanks everyone for the positive vibes.

Failed NCLEX-PN for the 2nd time, please help!!!
Hi I failed Nclex PN for the second time. I just don't know what to do anymore. I'm not a very good test taker sometimes, but this exam is really kicking my butt. This is the only exam I'm having a problem with:confused: Can ANYONE out there PLEASE give me some study habit tips, or testing material. I used Saunders and Exam Cram to study with. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. I do fine on the Practice exams but the REAL Exam, forget. Thanks for your time.:)
