  1. Hi all! I too applied for this upcoming accelerated cohort and just found this site now. I will keep my fingers crossed for all of us! Have any of you guys heard from other schools yet?
  2. I had trouble searching for the new thread. so if anyone else has the same problem...here's the link: DeSales accelerated BSN '11-'12 - Nursing for Nurses
  3. Hi Kate! I turned in my tuition deposit last week and got an email from Nora regarding the emails I will be receiving from the school. You are soo lucky you won't need to relocate. I am coming from CA so I will def have to get my living situation handled asap. I am debating on getting an apartment and graduate housing. I am leaning towards graduate housing tho since I don't know anyone to have as roomates. It seems more convenient to school and that it is already furnished too. But I really want the idea of having a kitchen to use in the weee hours of the night when I get hungry haha. So I am still debating. I am super excited to meet everyone and am trying really hard to prepare for May! Please keep in touch! Someone already put up a page on facebook...so hope to see you there too! here's the link: Incompatible Browser | Facebook (if the link doesn't work...search "DeSales Accelerated BSN Class of 2012" -Charisse
  4. Wow $800 for 2b2b?! That's way inexpensive! 2b2b from CA usually run around $2,000/mo! Thanks for the info dahl! How is the neighborhood of bethlehem? Is it safe? I would get a kick out of saying that I live in "Bethlehem" lol. I am still debating on graduate housing (if they provide that) or finding an apartment close to campus. Also people have suggested that I do not bring my car to the east coast bc the snow messes up the car, is that really true? Ah I have a lot to figure out before May hits, but I am very excited to meet you all! =) Keep in touch!
  5. Congrats! I got accepted too! Have you sent in your deposit yet?
  6. Congrats! I too received an acceptance letter from DeSales! I will be coming from California, any other Californians going out there too? Also would anyone happen to know the area well? And have any info on where the best place to live?
  7. NycClara: My references have not been called, but I'm sure if they called yours, you are a step closer to getting into the program! =) I'll keep you updated if I hear anything. KCon: they did not ask any questions that caught me off guard. they will ask about you and it's very relaxed. sorry if that doesnt help out but good luck on your interview! glassprn: congrats on your interview! the waiting game is tough...but lets hope we all get through!
  8. Also from my interview, the faculty member was very relaxed (tho I was completely nervous:redbeathe). She just asked me one question, about my past and how it led me to become a nurse. She did a lot of the talking. Hope it all works out for us!
  9. Hi all! Just updating after my interview. Here is what I was told...they are NOT accepting 100 students like they have done so in the past. They will only be accepting around 55! They are lessening the acceptances because instead of 2 cohorts a year, it will be 3 (Jan, May, and Sept) which is good and bad... Lastly, I was told that they will be notifying those accepted/waitlisted/rejected around September, but the latest would be early October. My chances look slim...but goodluck to everyone! =)
  10. nycClara, Congrats on completing your interview! My interview is mid-July for the Jan 2011 cohort. I have been doing my research, but do you have any tips/advice on what questions will be asked and how I can prepare for the interview? Anything helps! =) mbmnc, I turned in my application June 21st, and received a call June 24th to schedule an interview mid-July. They said they wanted to schedule the interviews now so that they dont fall behind with all the applications they receive. I'll let you know how it works out. =)
