Oh wow, you chose a good day to go. Every nursing student I've spoken with has told me how difficult the program is and to be prepared for no type of social life. I'm scared! I suppose I'll enjoy my freedom as long as it lasts.

I'm nervous as well shantenicole, but also so excited to finally get into a program! Excited for orientation later this month.

I just received my acceptance letter! It came yesterday by certified mail, so I just picked it up at the post office. So much to get done before then. Hoping to hear from others who got in. Good luck to everyone!

Congrats Jimmy John! I'm so glad things worked out for you anyways. As for me, I have decided to go part-time next semester at work and finish up my pre reqs so I can automatically get into Howard CC's accelerated program due to their rolling admission. Best of luck with everything!

Well I got my rejection letter in the mail yesterday, and I was bummed at first, but I'm ok with it now. After all I only had 1/4 pre reqs done and it was more of a shot in the dark with nothing to lose. Going to re-group and try for UMB or HCC, and perhaps MC Fall. Hope you had better luck and that those who did get in can use this thread to get to know their future classmates!

No not yet. I just saw the post about people finding out a few days ago?! I'm freaking out over here. Haha What worries me is that during the information session they said if you're not admitted they won't contact you, because they don't have the time to send out rejection letters (which I think is ridiculous). So she said we could call and they would let us know over the phone. Well I've been calling and no one has answered the phone. According to the main admissions office, they are short staffed today. I called my mom and she just said there is no mail. I'm getting a little sad, but still holding out hope. Good luck again and congrats to those who have gotten in.

I called them to see when they'd let us know since they say early Nov for formality sakes, but in the past have let people know in October. The lady was a bit rude (perhaps she's tired of answering these questions) and said "late October to early November" and hung up. The suspense is killing me! I applied in early June so it's been 4 months now! I know my chances are decent so I'm not necessarily too worried, but I just want to know for sure so I can plan things out. I feel like there's a lot to get done as far as getting the immunizations, CPR, etc. Not to mention having to leave my full-time job and finding a part-time gig. I'm going to try to calm down though and just wait it out. Good luck to everyone. Let us know if you hear any news.

Thanks Jimmyjohn! Good luck to you too. When do you find out about UMB? Sounds like you're a shoe in for MC, and probably UMB as well.

Anyone else out there who applied for next semester? We're supposedly supposed to hear back by November, but in the past looks like thye let some people know in October. Anyone know about this? The waiting game sucks! Best of luck to everyone.

Wow that's so nice to hear! Where do you live if you don't mind me asking? I applied for a Spring ADN program and will find out in about 1-2 months if I got in. However, I'm always thinking ahead and it worries me that so many hospitals highly favor the BSN in my area. I live in MD within the DC metro area.

@ Collegets: Best of luck! The BSN does turn out to be about the same as timeframe as the ASN so it's definitely worth going for if you can. @ DC_Starr: Thanks for sharing. I'm so glad to hear the deadline extension was due to more open slots! Makes me feel so much better. I've been freaking out over here, because I would hate to have to reapply keep waiting to start the program. I graduated college in 2009 and am so eager to start my nursing career. Glad to know my chances are that much better now. Sorry to hear about you running out of time on the TEAS. I barely finished the Math section in time. I think I only had 2 minutes left. Sounds like you did great nonetheless. Let's keep our fingers crossed :)

Collegets: You did really well on your TEAS test. Congrats! I don't blame you for wanting to finish your pre reqs beforehand. I heard it can be tough to battle Anatomy with the 1st year nursing courses. I was going to do the same, but decided to take a shot in the dark and try my luck for Spring since it's less competitive. I noticed you said you want to take Stat as your math course. Are you planning on transferring to a BSN program? I know Stat is a requirement for some of those programs.

Thanks nadia. I sure hope so. The reading part on the TEAS test can be a bit tricky because sometimes 2 answers seem like they could be correct. I sent you an email offering any help that you may need.
