  1. It shocks me but doesn't suprise me that these teenagers are "trying" to get pregnant. I hate to think that these teenagers think that they are ready to be parents. And speaking of parents where are theirs?
  2. I had a patient the other day who was 16 having her second child. Her mother had adopted the first child and was raising it as her own. This 16 y.o. came in at 33 weeks contracting up a storm so we wanted to admit her on Magnesium. She wanted to leave AMA. The midwife and I were trying to explain to her the consequences to her unborn child but she was hearing nothing of it. We thought we would appeal to her mother to see if she could convince the girl to stay. Her only response: "It is her decision, if she wants to leave she can" I think it was that attitude towards her daughter's actions for the last 16 years that landed this young girl in the situation that she was in.
  3. Nursie 30 I am so sorry for what you have gone through. It was in very poor judgement that your post was copied and passed around. It just goes to remind us to be very careful about what we post here. I use to be on the boards under another name but had to change it because some one I knew figured out who I was. Now I am very careful about what I say about myself and my job. As for Cooki10554, I think it is very big of you to come on to the boards and admit what you did. I hope reading what Nursie wrote made you really regret what you did.
  4. Mine our OB related since that is where I work #1 When the pt has every single family member and their neighbors in the room for delivery. There is no reason all those people need to be in your business at such a personal time. #2 on the same note the people that come and want to know what room Suzie is in but don't know her last name. If you don't know someone's last name then you don't know them well enough to be in there while she is having a baby.
