  1. Congratulations everyone, especially to the Houston campus folks since the Houston campus is just so much better.
  2. She's just jealous! I love being a male at TWU.
  3. And, fyi, you don't have to take multi cultural women's studies if you're either core complete or have a BS already.
  4. When I applied, we were still doing the Hesi A2. I got a 92% overall on that exam. I don't remember the exact number of students who applied to Fall 2010... But I THINK it was about 500-600, and they accepted ~95 of us. I'm not sure how TWU dallas/denton is, but TWU Houston is awesome. The building, the atmosphere, the teachers, and definitely the location, make it a terrific school. In no way, shape, or form should any of you question the integrity of the Houston campus. It's truly a fantastic place to start your nursing career. Hang in there everyeone... the letter's worth the wait!!!!
  5. The acceptance letter is worth the wait!! I still remember when I got mine a year ago. Another note... you all have very good grades and GPA's, so I wouldn't worry way too much. My pre-req's were all A's and about 3-4 B's.
  6. No, sorry. I'm at the better campus in Houston
  7. I had a 92% Hesi, and all A's except for B's in A&P, A&P2, and Micro... So you're definitely going to be considered.
  8. Saw a bunch of you all at the Houston campus today, congrats, and good luck! Hope you didn't spend too much money today.
  9. I think most people spending about 200-300. We bought supplies like stethoscopes, patches, name badges, scrubs, and ~$100 to join TNSA - Texas Nurses Student Association. ... At the Houston campus.
  10. TWU! Great/helpful staff, terrific environment, largest med center in the world.
  11. Me too Well, time to get ready for clinicals.
  12. I'm a C student! As long as you understand most the material, I think you're fine.
  13. It's not procrastinating - it's keeping information fresh!
  14. BOOOO! Houston > Dallas!
  15. Please give me a good pt & nurse, please give me a good pt & nurse.
  16. woohoo
  17. I'm slightly worried about the history questions. I feel like the rest of the info has been beaten into us since day 1.
  18. For Chitty History, it's *page* 29, not chapter 29.
  19. I can't believe we have 9 questions from Nursing History.... Now to find out where I stashed that Chitty book...
  20. In that case, I say keep on doing (simultaneously) whatever you think is right, and whatever your instructor wants you to do. Keeping your instructor happy should be important, but your intuitions are potentially life-saving. I'm sure you can get through this.
  21. Happy cramming, everyone! :rckn:
  22. I just buzz everything myself every 3-4 weeks. I'd say it's about a 0-1 all around. Simple, cheap, and clean.
  23. Something that has always worked for me is to pull my boss/instructor/whoever off to the side and respectfully give them your opinion. State your intentions, and state (respectfully) that things ended up not working out the way you wanted to. Let your instructor know your thinking process especially regarding the patient's nausea, etc. This will allow you to get your point across in a professional manner. Do it correctly and your instructor can only respect you more.
  24. I would go and get tested as soon as possible for a baseline, then come back whenever they tell you to get tested again. But like others have said, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
  25. Good luck!
