Becoming an Oncology Nurse
Thanks that helped a lot. I am currently looking for RN oncology positions, but it is kind of hard getting a position in a critical area such as that as a new RN grad. I am going to continue to look because I really like this field and I am starting to become passionate about it. Hopefully a position becomes available so that I can start receiving experience and pursue my endeavors as an advanced oncology practitioner.

Becoming an Oncology Nurse
Okay thanks, especially for that link. I am going to definitely do more research so I can figure out what steps I need to take to become a specialty nurse. Now I need to pass my NCLEX and become licensed so I can maybe find work at a cancer related center or on an oncology floor.

To be honest, I really am interested in becoming an oncology nurse practitioner. Are you familiar with this course work?

Becoming an Oncology Nurse
Hello! Everyone. I am currently in the last semester of my ADN program and will be starting a 12 month RN-BSN program in the summer.Over the course of my clinical experience, I think I have discovered my specialty area. I think I want to become an oncology nurse! I am currently researching information on the net to see what I need to do to begin my cerification process, but the steps are kind of vague to me. If anyone can share with me basic criteria or guidelines I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Itawamba ADN acceptance letter
Hi! I know this is off topic, but I really really need some help!!!!!!! I got accepted into ICC's ADN program for fall 2010. I did not get my acceptance letter unitl the first week in July. I was on the waiting list, but a position became open for me. Okay once I was notified about my acceptance. I sent my money in for housing. Someone finally answered the phone yesterday, and she told me i was # 79 on the waiting list and I would not be getting a room. Okay this is the problem I live in Clarskdale, MS, which is maybe 150 miles away. I do not know absolutely any one in fulton or tupelo, and I definitely can not commute everday. I really can not afford an apt right now. This is sort of stressing me out. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could probably rent a room from someone every week at a cheap rate or some other means of me having a place to stay. I am not going to let this hold me back. SO if you can, please help me! Thanks!

Itawamba ADN acceptance letter
Hi! I know this is a late reply, but I just joined the site to see if I could find anyone else who has been accepted. Well I have gotten two letters. I got my first letter around June 15 stating that I was not accepted, but I was eligible for the waiting list. Thankfully, I received a letter July 2 stating that a position becamoe open for me in the ADN program. So I sent off my confirmation card in ASAP. So I am very thankful... So have you received anything yet?
