  1. I was just wondering if it matters whether you choose an online CNM program versus one where you have to actually, physically go to classes and clinicals. Do employers look for one and not the other, or is it more about experience and interviewing?
  2. I'm still in nursing school and am very interested in all the different opportunities and specialties that are available with a little bit more schooling and experience. I've been interested in the birthing process and working with moms-to-be and the NICU since I learned of the specifics of my journey as a premature baby. I know that being a midwife has definite differences between being an ob/gyn and even a neonatal nurse and I guess I would like to know why midwife? What makes midwivery a better decision? What are the perks? Some guidance and opinions of how everyone likes being a midwife would be SO helpful! :) thanks!
  3. I have similar questions to Jennelea. Approximately how long does it take to get this dual degree? Other than making you more marketable to the industry, what are the advantages? Is there a higher demand for WHNP or for CNM? Or does it just depend on the area and population?
  4. From everyone's experience or the "word on the street," in what regions and types of places is midwivery more popular? Small towns? Big cities? East vs West coast? I'm just curious (not to take the attention away from the original question)
  5. I, too would love to live in that region and am curious how the job market is there. I'm still in nursing school and have a bit to go, but I'm really curious if there are certain areas where CNM is more popular or desirable?
