  1. Do you guys know if they give us the itouch for clinicals or do we need to go buy it ourselves?
  2. I also need to take out loans, not just for the program but also for living expenses too. I have no idea about the process either, because this is my first time with loans also. I do not even know if I should go through a bank to get a loan or someone the school recommends. Maybe that sounds like a dumb quetion but this is all new to me. I am not even sure someone will give me enough of a loan to cover all my expenses. Can you get different loans from different places?
  3. Yes I had my degree complete but I did only graduate this past May. When are you planning on applying?
  4. I did not have to take the GRE's because my GPA was higher than a 3.2 My major was biochemistry and I have been a nurse aide for the past 2 years so I do have some experience, however you do not need any clinical hours to be accepted. So don't let that hold you back if you have no nursing experience! :)
  5. Yes CPinPhilly it was only a couple days for me too... but remember, they do not even look at any of your materials until they receive them all... so get those recc's in asap :)
  6. Congrats Dimples!!! Niki is actually extremely nice and starts out the interview by asking you if you have any questions for her, so make sure you come prepared with questions about the program, finanical aid, housing, or whatever else you want to ask. Then she goes over the pre reqs you have completed or the ones you still need to complete. Finally she asks you about 5 questions ranging from why you want to be a nurse to why jefferson is a good fit for you. Dont worry tho, the questions are really relaxed, and as nervous as I was going into the interview (and believe me I was!!!) Niki made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. The dress is also casual so no suit required! Good luck, you will be fine!!
  7. If you are taking any of the pre reqs deff try to get a reference from one of those classes. Otherwise you can use a boss, not co workers tho because it must be professional. I work as a nurse assistant so I used my nurse manager as a reference and that was perfectly fine! Good luck :)
  8. did anyone who was accepted still waiting for their acceptance letters in the mail??
  9. congrats to you too!!!! Are you planning on living on campus or off campus?
  10. I just got an email from Niki not even an hour ago that I was accepted!!! So go check your email everyone! Good luck :)
  11. I think my interview went well!! But anything is possible I guess!! Keep me updated if you guys hear anything!
  12. so the wait begins.. i had my interview yesterday and Niki said about 2 weeks.. its killing me already lol Good luck everyone :)))
  13. I live in Reading, PA ... If I get accepted at Thomas Jefferson I would consider having 1 roommate but no more than that. I went through the whole roommate thing at my university so just 1 roommate is all I want. Otherwise I would consider finding off campus housing but it is very expensive to live in that section of philly.
  14. I am about an 1 and 15 mins west of philly .. so commuting is not an option.
