Good to know that its not as difficult as i think it is. I'm signed up to take it on Aug 10th. gonna get the study guide and start preparing in about 2 weeks. I also would like to be in the March '11 class so i will see all who pass the TEAS at the informational in november! Good luck to all!Anyone know how soon you can find out how you did on the TEAS? I'm getting so anxious i almost want to take it at another school this month just to get it over with. Maybe we'll be studying together in the near future.

LPN Program-Erwin, Gaylen, Concorde...which is better? (Tampa, FL)
Do you working students get a choice of what time u go to clinicals? Is there any choice of weekend 12 hour shifts or like a 6 to midnite 4 days a week or something?

LPN Program-Erwin, Gaylen, Concorde...which is better? (Tampa, FL)
ag1986, could u please elaborate on the clinical sites u go to. I'm trying to get into the March 2011 class at Erwin and I cant find anyone who will give all the juicy details about the program. I have a few other questions for anyone who wants to answer as well. 1. Do you get a choice of what time u go to clinicals and also location choice? 2.any idea of class size? 3. what is the process after the TEAS and informational meeting? anything u guys wanna give up would be helpful!! Also if anyone has a recent copy of the TEAS study guide that i could take off ur hands that would help as well!

SCF/Manatee Community College Nursing Program
A few years ago i was accepted and started the program but didn't finish. I personally had a bad experience with one of the clinicals and was scared to go back to the hospital. However much of the class i started with are now licensed RNs and doing fine. I was accepted into the Spring 2007 class @ the manatee campus. I learned alot in the short time i was there and now regret being a chicken. I'm going back to nursing school in tampa but now i'm going the LPN route b/c the RN programs up here are 2 year waiting list long. The school is great and i had already taken all my pre reqs at another school before i applied there. They only count GPA from the pre reqs and I think mine was like 3.4 which is pretty low since they bragged about several students with 4.0 throughout the program. But good luck to you and study hard! Happy nursing, u chose a great place to learn!!

Erwin LPN program
Hello I am also new to this forum and looking for answers. I am applying to get into the program @ Erwin. I take my TEAS test in August and i'm really nervous. I would like to know how the classes are paid for as well, loans, payment plan, private grants? Also I started reading this forum from the beginning and see that last year people were being assigned to the March 2010 class, so is it safe to assume that if i'm applying to the march 2011 class that that's the one i'll be in? I don't mind waiting for the next class as long as it starts next year. Also i wanted to know from some of the students, did anyone have to quit their job to go to school? any students doing the balancing act between family and school? any single moms doing it and how difficult is it for you? I got into an RN program a few years back and had a very difficult instructor so it was very intimidating and i quit. I'm gonna go the LPN route now and see how that goes now that i'm a little better prepared about what to expect. I'm very excited about going at it again. I've grown bored with corporate america and I'm looking for a change. I hope that i will find a possible study buddy from this site as i see a few others have on the other forums! Happy nursing to you and hopefully i'll have good news to report at the end of this year. Also any news about how the placement process works now that there is no lottery for spaces in the program. keeping my fingers crossed for March 2011!!!
