An IP is an independant provider for the Medicaid home care program. You sign up with them as an IP and receive a provider number. Then you can become a self-employed home care nurse. LPN's must have an RN supervisor. Most LPN's either have an RN on the case that does that, or they pay an RN to supervise them.
