  1. Sarah, My advice is that do not move to Fort Wayne. I have been looking for a job since last 2 months. I am new grad as well. I am yet to get an interview. It is very depressing. Fort Wayne is not a big city, And Colleges are dumping 600 new nurses every year and there are no new jobs. Most of the experienced nurses are hogging all the jobs by working at 2-3-4 jobs. I am regretting wasting so much of my money and 3 years of my life. You will have a better chance of landing a job if you will move to Indianapolis.
  2. DreamingKim, Thanks for your reply. Sorry for my ignorance but what is GYH? Where is it located? I do not care about pay too much, I am willing to work for lower pay to get some experience under my belt.
  3. Did you try to apply anywhere outside Fort Wayne? Are you open to travel?
  4. Holly1987, Thanks for the reply. Are you applying at nursing homes too or just at the hospitals? Thanks,
  5. I just graduated from Ivy Tech Fort Wayne at end of July. I will be taking my NCLEX in 2-3 weeks. I have been scouting job market in Fort Wayne for new nurses. There are absolutely no Hospital positions open for new nurses. I am ready to travel so that I can work at the hospitals. Can you please recommend any cities around Fort Wayne where they have open positions for new nurses? I do not mind travel up to 90 minutes each way. Thank You.
  6. I will be graduating from Ivy Tech Fort Wayne campus with my ASN in July. I want to continue my studies. Question-1. Should I go for ASN-BSN or ASN-MSN? Question-2. Which is the most reputed and prestigious university for BSN/MSN? What are my choices? Please advice. Thanks
