  1. Where are you located?
  2. I worked in Corrections in MA, and yes inmates have the right to refuse medications just like everybody else. There is of course documentation that goes along with this.

  4. I received my ATT by email.....First you need to fill in your email address on your application AND then when you send it in go to Pearson's web site and open an account. IT is free, If I remember correctly there is a blue box on the left hand side of the web page and it is where you are asked to sign in, or register for a test follow the instructions there to set up an account. You will need your school id etc. It is the same form that came in the NCLEX candidate book. After you register Pearson will email you a confirmation about your account and then when you are processed they will email you your ATT. I have aol and it came in a zipped file. Good luck
  5. I just took NCLEX on Friday the 11th and had quite a bit of pharm questions, specific drugs were Coumadin, Dilantin, dig, and lasix, can't remember the others, also had questions about how to start IV's, which vein to start it in etc. and a couple on blood transfusions. Hope that helps. Good luck to everybody!
  6. I am posting this to let everybody who is sitting at home and sick to their stomach because their test did not shut off at 75 that you could still certainly pass. I took the test on Friday the 11th and just checked Pearson's 900# and got my unofficial results that I passed. I wanted to cry when it did not shut off at 75, then 100, then 125,etc all the way to 175. I got four new format check all that apply questions and a ton of priority questions( who would you see first), lots of disaster drill questions and quite a few pharm. To everybody who is still waiting try and relax. To those still to take it, good luck.
  7. In MA starting LPN pay at CMS is $17.50 and RN pay is $21.00 per hour.
  8. I can only speak for CMS. I worked for them for four years in MA. Their benefits are terrible. Health ins was lousy, no pension, only 401K that they contributed nearly nothing to. Also they seemed to have a huge problem with payroll, every payperiod, someone's check would be wrong. I did not like the company. I found that it was all about money, their money. I did not feel like they valued their employees. Of course this is only my opinion.
  9. You are correct about the changes to the Nclex RN exam, beginning April 1 there will be fill in the blanks, multiple choice questions with more than one correct answer, and diagrams that we are to look at and answer questions about. All of this info should be available from your state nursing board. I am in MA. Our school has been receiving info from the MA board since last Sept about these changes. This info is also in the 2004 Nclex Candidate Bulletin which is put out by National Council of State Boards of Nursing and Pearson VUE who runs the exams. I received mine from school about three weeks ago. You should ask your program director at your school. Good luck. I am afraid that we are going to need it.
