It was really simple, the procedure is your vital sign check off sheet. As long as you know the steps, you should fine. Don't forget to know the questions. You get three chances to obtain the correct blood pressure and you can be within 4 mm. Good Luck!!!!!

My syllabus said nothing about being removed from the program. Mercy is a very helpful school, if you need help its available.

You do have to get a 90% on the math test in your second nursing course. If get two attempts to pass it, if you don't you receive a "F" for that course and have to re-take it. IMHO, I wouldn't want a nurse who can't get a 90% on a test that is beginning algebra to take care of me. Passing medications is nothing but basic math.

Same here... I'm 25 and I feel like I've been in school forever... Maybe we can meet up and actually meet in person...

Hi sreed1966: I feel the same exact way. I'm in the ADN/evening and weekends and I am totally streesed out. I'm practicing vitals every night that I go home. I haven't looked at the med term, not that worried about it because I had it at Wayne County. It's alot with me working full time and embarking on this crazy journey called nursing school.... I applied around December / January and was notified February early March. I'm from Michigan and I had majority of the required classes finished, such as A&P 1 & 2, Patho, Med Term, Medical Math, etc... So I'm in the program with only nursing courses. The faculity said this semester was very competitive for the ADN evening/weekend track. I believe there are 60 students in the incoming class. I wish you luck, Mercy is a very school... So good that I'm willing to commute from Detroit three nights and every other weekend.... I worked really hard to get where I am and I'm really excited for what is ahead of me...

We have to purchase our nursing uniforms from Meridy's uniforms. I was wonder if anyone had to purchase their unifroms from Meridy's and how do the scrub pants run? Hello Everyone: I start the ADN evening/weekend program in August. What should I start reading before August 23rd?

In my opinon MsAshley, you should stick with Mercy College. You know that program is legit and you will get the best education as well they offer the evenings and weekends program. The last I heard from a toledo resident who was at my orientation at Mercy is that Owens no longer has their accrediation. There are alot of Michigan residents who travel back and forth to Mercy (myself being one) maybe you can carpool with someone who lives close to you... Hope that helps.

I had to memorize bloodflow of the heart in A&P II. The only thing I did was review the diagram everyday for about a 1/2 hour to an hour till it was time for the test. It helps me to review something continuously.
