  1. I looked at that website. I wanted the floating heart watch, but I wanted the white band not the black band. I shouldn't be so picky. It's just a watch =o)
  2. i was excited and now i'm just nervous/scared. after buying the books and looking at the massive pile i'm a little overwhelmed. *sigh* i couldn't believe this semesters books were almost $1,000! i've bought everything i need except for a nice watch with a second hand and my white leather shoes. i honestly don't know what to take with me monday. there is so much stuff! if anyone would like to keep in contact during the semester find me on facebook. i'd love to have some nursing friends who i can conversate with! praying for a great semester for all of us we have worked so hard to get this far so let the journey begin!
  3. I bought a really nice Nike rolling backpack from ebags. A little pricey but it works great.
  4. Interesting how they do that different. We are in green scrub tops and bottoms. I'm not complaining either..I got smalls in both! Wohoo..after 4 babies also =o)
  5. Our uniforms are gumbie green!!
  6. Oh, now I feel lucky. Our bookstore had tons of scrubs in and the pants had drawstings! Only thing I'm waiting on-is we have to have the Ivy Tech patch on our lab coats and the patch isn't in. Other than that, the books just cost me a little over $900..ouch! And I haven't looked inside them..I'm too scared! Good luck to all you ladies!!
  7. I'm overwhelmed with all the things we have to get done...ekkk!! Orientation tomorrow and physical/shots Thursday and I think I'm done!! Yippie.
  8. shanty, i just got accepted into the pn program in logansport. i also applied to lafayette & kokomo and got denied. to get into kokomo & especially lafayette you basically need straight a's and a really high teas score. i got into logansports program with anatomy i-a, anatomy ii-c, psych-a, english comp-b & a 75 on my teas. i know..not great grades. so study hard!! if you have any other questions feel free to look me up on facebook =o) and shoot me a message.
  9. I got into the LPN program at Logansport=o) wohoo!
  10. Where you an alternate?
  11. Has anyone received a LPN letter from Logansport?? If so, what are the scores?? I'm still waiting here!!
  12. What was your score?
  13. anyone receive their pn letter yet from kokomo? if so, what was your score? i'm still waiting!!
  14. anyone get a pn letter from kokomo or logansport?
  15. just a quick question. i'm trying to decided between advanced human physiology or general microbiology. anyone have any suggestions?
  16. LOL..nopey. Still waiting!
  17. Someone posted on the Ivy Tech message board they received their letter from Logansport. Has anyone else? I'm waiting from Logansport and have yet to receive anything!!!
  18. We all are just very stressed. We all have worked hard and deserve a spot. Shame on Ivy Tech not the students. I can understand everyone's complaints. Ivy Tech needs to re-access their nursing program.
  19. Nothing from Logansport
  20. Anyone heard anything from the Logansport campus?? No one ever talks about that campus on here..not sure if that's a good or bad thing.
  21. nothing from logansport still
  22. I am with you. I am enrolled in a few classes that If I am not selected for the RN program there is no reason for me to take them. So...kind of wish they would hurry up =-(
  23. thank you for the prayers renee. my family has been praying about this for the past 6 months =-) i applied to kokomo & logansport's lpn programs. praying for kokomo since i live 15 minutes away. nursing is where my heart is. my baby girl is 4 years old and has undergone 24 surgeries to date. i want to be able to give back. god has placed this on my heart and i know it's where i belong. i graduated from ivy tech in 2008 with a degree in criminal justice and could care less about that degree now. it's all about nursing and the kids
  24. thank you renee:d praying for us both!!
  25. i know. when i started this journey, ivy tech never never said you only have a very small chance of getting into the actual program. they should be a little more honest with people. i never heard how competetive it was until i attended a nursing information session. i put my heart and soul into the last 2 years. not to meantion our money as well. just a complete let down. i still have a very very slim chance of getting into the lpn program, but that's looking doubtful as well. just a little let down by a school that is suppose to be all about bettering our community:crying2:
