Reputable Nursing Agencies
Never-mind--not that anyone was jumping in with info/assistance. Surprisingly, an HHC hospital contacted me after the numerous jobs I applied for. So, don't give up. I have no experience and an ADN. Good luck.

Reputable Nursing Agencies
Can someone recommend a legit good nursing agency in NYC? One that will hire a new grad ADN with no experience. I'm currently enrolled in a BSN program, but I don't want to stale out while completing it. I'd like to work part-time to retain and gain nursing skills. Thank you.

Please help!! Need help with math problem
Whoa. The patient definitely did not receive 450mg. Focus on exactly what the problem stated that the patient received, forget the extra information they gave you. It states that the patient took THREE tablets. It states that the medication is supplied in 0.4mg tablets. Now, do the math and you will see that the patient did not receive 450mg of medication.

New York City BSN Programs
New York City (NYC) is made up of five boroughs : Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Queens. Therefore, LIU and Pace, located in Brooklyn and Manhattan, respectively, and are therefore NYC programs. LIU: I have heard that their nursing program is demanding and some were not too happy with the program. Search it up here for reviews. LIU is a private school and costs a lot because of that. Most students that attend LIU are the ones that could not get into the CUNY and SUNY college nursing programs (because they're so competitive). Hunter College has a BSN program; it's a CUNY school in Manhattan.

Need Advice For NYC Based Part-Time BSN Programs
At Medgar Evers College (MEC), you must be a student the college for at least one semester before you can apply to their program. MEC's ADN nursing program starts once a year in the Fall (late August). Therefore, you will not be able to enter their program till Fall 2017, and that's if you make it in. They don't have a lot of seats available, so it is very competitive to get into their nursing program. Make sure you apply to more than one nursing program just in case. MEC doesn't have a straight BSN program; you must have an ADN and pass NCLEX to enter their BSN program. MEC's ADN nursing program is an evening program and their clinicals are on the weekends. A good online RN to BSN program that some RN's that have graduated from nursing schools in NY attend is University of Louisiana at Lafayette. There's a lot of threads about it on this website. It's a good college that's accredited, 8 week classes and affordable. Good luck!

Medgar Evers College (MEC) Nursing Program 2013
Here's the link to the Medgar Evers College bookstore. Input your course info and all the books you'll need will come up. Your Customized Textbook List - Medgar Evers College (CUNY) Bookstore I no longer buy my books from a college bookstore. They charge way too much, even for used ones. What I've been doing is buying an edition back. For example, if the required book is a 6th edition, I'll search google for the 5th edition, and it is just about the same as the book they're using in class-- exact same author and title, just a different book cover, but the same info is there for the most part. I've saved hundreds of dollars by doing this. Amazon and abebooks are great sites for used books.

A grade of B- or better in Science courses : BIO 251, 252 or BIO 150, 151,152; CHM 105 A grade of C or better in : ENG 112, 150; MTH 120; PSYCH 101 They say that you must have at least a GPA of 2.7 to be accepted into their program, but the competition are coming in with 3.3 GPA's and higher. They are very strict about their Nursing program because they want the best of the best. They look at everything when considering you: Your essay, your grades, your resume --heck, even YOUR FACE (you must submit a picture with your application). That's how serious they are. I heard their Nursing program is tough --but what Nursing program isn't, right? Good luck.
