  1. Thanks Joyce :)
  2. Did the list of books get posted on here? Somehow I've managed to loose the paper they gave us with them listed, and I can't remember which ones I still need...
  3. I like the saying: "Dress for the job you want, not the one you have."
  4. I'm in section 5, and only Concepts has yet to pop up on BB for me. I had an issue getting a couple Power Points to open as well, in Health Assesment. Got a "already in use" error.
  5. You don't have to have the card. There was an early alert posted on FSCJ connections website a while back about it. In order to access connections, you had to read it. If you don't want it, sign up for direct deposit instead.
  6. There's wireless everywhere. I used to sit on one of the sencond floor stair landings and catch up on things between classes on my laptop when it was cool out. There was a power outlet, and it was one towards the back of school where the trees are, so it had a nice little view too.
  7. I'm in section 5, registered earlier. When I registered, it automatically accounted for my financial aid and said the class balance was $0. I wish we could get more of a bookstore authorization, I'm dreading going in there and getting my books Friday.
  8. My internet is sporadic today, and comcast can't get out here for a service call until Thursday, but I wanted to say thanks to Butterflymom and to everyone who was able to make it. Awesome questions and extremely helpful answers. Thanks you guys!
  9. Pregnancy form? And the thing I got regarding payment deadlines was just a postcard type mailer.
  10. I'm getting so nervous about this. I got a thing in the mail about how the payment deadlines are August 5th, but we won't even be registered for classes then. I just wish that it would hurry up and show whether I got my grants or if I need to go into utter-frugal mode and try to work out how I'm going to pay for classes.
  11. Like some others, I only need the mumps, not measles and rubella, but I've gotta get all three. I also need a Hep B booster. I noticed on here that the price given when when someone called in for the MMR was $30, but today they told me it was $65. She looked new though, and was asking other people for info so maybe she's not aware of FSCJ student pricing. I hope so. Either way, I've got to wait until next Friday's paycheck before I can complete everything. I still also need to do my fingerprints and photo then too. I'm hoping I can get everything done and turned in. I hate cutting so close to the deadline, but at least I'll have four days after payday in case something happens. Congrats on the baby ss624!!
  12. Anybody else taking the CPR course tonight with Ms. Sally Serna?
  13. I don't know anything about loans, but I know that my grants haven't posted yet. When I asked financial aid if I should be able to see anything in regards to if I got them again this term, she told me hopefully by the end of the week.
  14. In regards to scrub bottoms, I got mine at the evil empire that is Wal-Mart. I think they were like $13 for a pair with a drawstring.
  15. I doubt there will be multiple orientations, just multiple accept/decline call dates. She can't give you a cutoff yet, because they haven't finished accepting people yet. After tomorrow, they will know how many more letters they can prepare (in addition to those ready to go out/have already gone out in the second batch) based on who accepts, and who declines from the first batch.
  16. From what I've read from past terms, it looks like they send out more than one batch of letters. Since no one has recieved a denial letter yet, don't give up hope.
  17. Well, I got a new to me 2003 mazda 6 today, so as long as my mom doesn't cancel on me for babysitting, I'll see you guys at Panera! I'm so glad I don't have to borrow her car to get to class like we had planned for the first couple weeks in case we couldn't find a second car in time. This has been an awesome good news week. I don't even mind the pain in my arm and wrist, lol. I wasn't asked about meds for the drug test either. The doc asked during my physical, but that's to be expected. My friend had once taken a drug test for a new job while she was recovering from a car accident. The just said if anything was detected, to bring in her Rx later. I don't know if that would be the case here or not.
  18. I just came from there and my physical was only $40. For everything except the flu shot, I paid $223. I wish I had better veins though, because my right wrist is killing me right now. People always have trouble locating my veins and today was the worst. The doctor actually ended up taking it from my left wrist with the usual (for me) butterfly needle but only after digging in the right wrist with a regular size needle. Other than that it was fine, the lady doing my work was really sweet and never hurt me once, even when she tried each arm. On a side note, if I can't make it to the meet up at Panera, I don't think I'll mind because I met so many future nurses in the waiting room this morning. :)
  19. I'm so very excited! I've got to schedule my CPR class tomorrow, and get a move on with everything else. I would love to meet up before orientation, but I doubt I'll be able to. My husband is on call for work, and my babysitter (my mom) isn't always up for the task. I'll be a last minute addition if my hubby doesn't get called on the day that's settled on. I can't wait to meet you guys! :)
  20. I'm doing my happy dance!!! So very relieved to find an acceptance letter in the mailbox. I'll be in days, and I had 211 points. I look forward to meeting you guys at orientation, and can't wait to see who else is accepted!
  21. Oh man, the ONE DAY I'm not home either!! I won't be home til around 4:00. I could scream. I'm gonna be on pins and needles for the next 3 1/2 hours!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS to people with letters in hand already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. If I am remebering correctly, they started getting emails on March 10, a Wednesday.
  23. Oh man that would be horrible. I'd hate to have pull out my scissors and cut the drawstring, lol.
  24. Hmmm, I entered the passcode with no problem earlier, and just now too. Weird.
  25. I can't see our mailbox at all, we have a long driveway. Somedays the mail will be in as early as 11:30, most days it doesn't run til 4:00. I keep my eye on my inbox instead. Tuesday will be 6 weeks... With all the things that have happened in the 9 weeks since I submitted my application, you'd think time would have flown by but it hasn't. Everyday makes me a little more anxious than the one before it.
