  1. Go talk to ---- in Advising. He can help you out.
  2. This is at least my understanding after talking to financial aid. I e-mailed our contact in nursing and she said she didn't know, and that I needed to talk to financial aid. Financial aid says it is 3/4 time so if you selected full time on your financial aid, you have to fill out a form changing your enrollment status. It is 9 credits so even if you take the extra two classes at two credits, it still doesn't get you to full time. ------ did say that more info would be coming to us after July 1....whatever that might be.
  3. Thanks! I hope you enjoy your summer before the madness starts. I am trying not to think about it.:)
  4. When you click on the Financial Aid tab, under the list of requirements, do you see Student Information form 1112 (it might even show a green check mark showing it is complete even if you haven't done it yet - that's what mine showed)? You can click on it and select your enrollment. If that doesn't work, you will have to call fin. aid I guess.
  5. Have you checked your mychemeketa financial aid page? There is a form you have to submit online indicating your enrollment status. Sometimes there are other forms that need to be completed in order to get the process moving along. I had 3 items that needed to be filled out and turned in. They never notified me that there were items that I needed to complete, so if you haven't, I would check your mychemeketa page and see what the status is.
  6. I am keeping my part-time job of 10- 15 hrs a week.
  7. Anyone know of anyone not taking their spot at Chemeketa?
  8. Al34 replied to cjmama's topic in Oregon Nursing
If it helps, I just mailed my letter saying I will NOT be accepting my PCC spot. That should bump you all up one :)
  9. I picked Chemeketa, too. It was hard not to after comparing the cost and distance. See you in September!
  10. Hi Art - did you end up choosing Chemeketa or OHSU?
  11. #9. I am crossing my fingers you both get in!
  12. I got into Chemeketa, also!!! Wahoo. If you hear of anyone not accepting, please post. My friend is on the waitlist and we are anxious to hear of people not taking their position.
  13. Congratulations!!! That is wonderful news. No letter from Chemeketa today....
  14. Art - I can't keep track.....did you get into OHSU?
  15. Chemeketa's Dean of Nursing says letters to be mailed next week....
  16. If we haven't heard anything by next Friday, I will call and let you all know what I find out.
  17. Seriously?! They had points tallied early May and they still need more time. That is frustrating because I am going to have to send in my $200 deposit to OHSU just in case Chemeketa doesn't work out for me. Thanks for checking!!
  18. It depends on the facility as far as if you need your BSN. I know Salem Hospital gives preference to BSN's. I don't know if it matters which route you took to the BSN as long as you have one. I figured I would go to a community college, hopefully get a job as an RN while taking online courses for my RN to BSN. So I could be earning a salary a year earlier, plus have spent a fraction of what OHSU is. Still.....I would love to go to OHSU.
  19. Letter in the mail.
  20. Got my acceptance to PCC also, but I am going to Chemeketa if I get in, or OHSU where I did get in, so my spot will be free for PCC.
  21. I don't think I got full points for my essay last year, but there were people who did that didn't get in. I wish they had a better system.
  22. An advisor at CCC who helps score the applications said "they should be out a couple of weeks after the May 13 deadline". I don't see what the hold-up is if they have all the scores tallied. I think it is going to come down to random selection again even though they scored the essays as part of the application this year....
  23. I got in to Monmouth, too! I am waiting to hear from Chemeketa, but if I don't get in there, I will be joining you all in September. The cost is overwhelming to me, but hopefully I can make it work. I sent in my FAFSA around the same time I applied. I don't know what typically happens now as far as OHSU and the financial aid. Do they inform you soon after acceptance of how much you can expect to get in aid? I can hopefully get out of the health insurance requirement since I have really good insurance already. That cuts out over $1,200/term. So many things to think of now. Going to re-read my A & P book this summer for sure!!
  24. Anyone get into OHSU Monmouth? If I don't get in to Chemeketa, then that's where I will be going. Would rather not have the expense of OHSU, but a part of me really wants to go there even though it's 3 years in the classroom rather than the 2 I was planning on. I figured I would start working (and making money!) while taking an online RN-BSN program.
  25. To be honest, it feels surreal to know I will for sure be going to nursing school in the fall even if OHSU is my only choice. It does take a huge weight off me. I think our chances at Chemeketa are better this year unless they gave more 50's than they have spots for. Hard to tell. An advisor told my friend that letters should go out two week after the May 13 deadline to appeal points. That is cutting it close with the deadline to accept at OHSU. I am so grateful though, and thanks again on the congrats.
