Los Angeles County School of Nursing
The pre-registration session is on July 9. On this day, they will give us more information about tuition, orientation, and schedules. The Health Clearance is most likely referring to the immunizations that we need to get before starting the program. Also, all nursing schools require physical examinations from your physicians, so its not a big deal. Did anyone order their uniforms yet or go to the college building to try on samples? The deadline is 7/2, but I'm not sure about which size I should get>

Pasadena City College RN FALL 2010??
I'm not even surprised anymore. I'm thinking that they are busy with other applications for other programs, and not to mention, the school has finals this week.

Pasadena City College RN FALL 2010??
I called Pasadena on Monday, and they told me that they will try to send out e-mails after 2 weeks. Hang in there everyone!

I didn't know that they were sending it through e-mail? I was assuming regular mail. Hmm.. maybe I'll try calling tomorrow morning. I love your story Iliana lol. I know what you mean, getting alert mails from this forum makes me just as nervous sometimes haha.

Pasadena City College RN FALL 2010??
I called PCC today, and the lady told me that we have to wait for 3 more weeks!! This is absurd. Knowing that some students are in the process of making decisions about other schools, how can they expect us to wait an additional 3 weeks?

i called the office. They are still sending out letters week by week, and those who receive letters get approximately 1 week to make any decision. The total number of students admitted is NOT 20, about 50 will be total (same as last semester). They told me that by the end of the 1st week of June, everyone should have received a letter. So there's still a chance.

you mean, for fall 2010? I applied around February. Wow, you were able to see the list?! Oh.. so you didn't get it through mail, (letter) you checked it directly with the office? I'm sorry for asking so many questions, but the wait is just killing me lol.

only 20?! Do you know when they started mailing the letters out?

Los Angeles County School of Nursing
Oh my gosh! Congratulations Neil!!! I didn't realize that Glendale Community College was sending out letters already. I think Iliana explained it perfectly Everyone who graduates from the nursing program with their Associates will definitely be able to transfer for BA, so don't worry! You shouldn't being worrying, you should be celebrating!

TEAS V or TEAS IV?
I see.... That's still seems unreasonable. They can't expect students to take 2 different versions of the exam. If they wanted people to take the new version TEAS, they should have done so in the the beginning of the year. Meaning, they should have made all schools change to only version.

TEAS V or TEAS IV?
So, I've taken the TEAS ( version 4 ) last Friday at Glendale Community College; however, I was wondering if other schools would accept this score? I know that different schools are using different versions of the test, and I wanted to know whether or not if I can send my original scores to other schools (that is, IF they request for me to do so)? Also, I'm confused as to why some people are taking different versions??

Glendale Community College (CA) FALL 2010
Let's hope so! Seriously, I would be happy with any school at this point. Pasadena City College is actually no longer lottery (they've changed it to gpa point system- they look at English/and the 3 sciences).

Glendale Community College (CA) FALL 2010
No problem! Good Luck on the exam! Well, I applied to LA County, GCC, PCC. My first choice is definitely PCC because I'm more familiar with the school. Also, I have a friend who had graduated/passed NCLEX + 2 other friends who are still in the program and have told me great things about the program. My next choice would be LA County(friend graduated last year/passed NCLEX), and they deal with more trauma cases. I guess my last choice would be GCC but only because I'm not familiar about their program, and I don't know anyone from the program. However, as long as I can get into a program for the Fall 2010 Semester, I will be thankful lol. btw- i'm a gal haha.

Glendale Community College (CA) FALL 2010
Yes, if you have an ID+ PW, you're all set! On the letter from Glendale Community College said "If you have not taken the TEAS please contact us immediately at 818-551-5270 to schedule to take the test here in GCC Assessment Center. Testing is arranged through, and paid for by the college. You will receive additional instructions when you schedule to take the test." So, on Thursday, before 1:30, go to the nursing building and tell them that you are scheduled to take test. They will give you blue slip with your name + other info. for office use. You take that slip and go to the Testing Center building (which is a few buildings away from it). Once you're inside the testing center office, they ask for photo id. They sit you down and wait for you to type in your ID+PW onto the ATI website, then one of the ladies will type in the authorization code for the test.

Glendale Community College (CA) FALL 2010
If you got invited by Glendale Community College, that means they are offering you to take the exam at their campus site for free. I received the information last week, and took the TEAS yesterday morning. All you had to do was call in the nursing office and ask them to schedule you a specific date. They transfer you to someone from the office who will then tell you that you will need the following: USER ID + PASSWORD. The id and password can be obtained by simply registering for free on the ATI website. Later, on the day of the test, you will be given the authorization code from the office. Good luck!
