Normally 5 patients/RN, occasionally 6 with the charge nurse taking anywhere between 1 and 5 patients but we normally have to do primary cares because we dont get an aide or if we are lucky we have one, and that isn't always for the entire shift either! 2. I work 12 hour nocs, 7p-7a 3. WI 4. Every night that is our situation, but when I'm charge and am in staffing with our nursing supp, i usually have a pretty big mouth and demand the staff we call for or need.
