Online vs Face to face programs
Hello everyone! I want to apply to a NP program, but I'm not sure which route to go. I have friends who have told me that it is harder to get a job if you graduate from an online program. They say doctors and hospitals prefer to hire NPs that graduated from a face to face program. Is this true? Also, what is you opinion regarding MSN vs DNP? Thank you for your comments.

75 questions, good pop-up, 23-25 SATA!
I downloaded the NClEX 4000 form: *************** I was now looking the website for the 3500 but I cannot find it. It seems that they took it down.

75 questions, good pop-up, 23-25 SATA!
The drag & drop questions I had were super easy. Not even close to what thought i would get. The options were simple & if you know the content I'm pretty sure you can get them all right. :)

Thanks!!! :) I did Hurst & Saunders, but if you cannot afford to do a review I think Saunders is the way to go. Also, the study guide that is around this website is pretty good. Not only it has mnemonics, but also the information is straight to the point. For practice questions I used the Saunders CD, I also downloaded a free app in my cell called NCLEX QB, which was helpful whenever i wasn't home, you have to buy the rationales if you want them though. :) you can also get Nclex 3500 & 4000 online for free.

NCLEX tomorrow & feeling awful
Guys I just wanted to update you! I passed!!!!!!!! I'm ecstatic, never been happier. Is an amazing feeling. I really wish you all the best of lucks on your exams. I can't believe I've made it this far. I remember not long ago how I used to read everyone's posts before I even started my pre-reqs for nursing & now I'm a Registered nurse. For those taking their exams soon please pray to St Joseph of Cupertino. People swear by him, so I promised him that if I passed I would tell the world about him. I'm not a religious person, but it never hurts to pray to something bigger than us. Good luck to everyone I really wish you the best!!!!!! Stay positive! You've got this :)

NCLEX tomorrow & feeling awful
OMG guys!!!! I want to thank you all for the support & the prayers. I took the test today, it shut off at 75 questions. Had 12 questions between SATA, strips, images, drag and drop. I did the PVT & I got the GOOD POP UP!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy....I'm not saying that I pass for sure, but I'm pretty hopeful because I've never read of anyone that had gotten the good pop up & failed.

NCLEX tomorrow & feeling awful
It's almost 9 pm! I've been reading all my notes today. I know I should've tried to relax instead, but there are so many things I would like to review again. Hubby offered to give me a long massage so I can go to bed feeling great! I hope it helps with the stress. I hope I can sleep! Let's see what happens tomorrow. It's in Gods hands now. Good night to everyone and good luck to those who take NCLEX tomorrow!

NCLEX tomorrow & feeling awful
I take my test tomorrow 8am & I feel like I don't know anything. I've been reading the rationales of several questions I previously answered & I don't know why i picked the answer i picked. I'm like a blank slate at this point. Not sure if it is because I'm stressed or maybe my brain is in info overload, but I'm freaking out at this point. Has anyone felt like this before the test? I feel like I forgot everything I had learned. Even reading through my own notes feels like I'm going over new content. This is just crazy

NCLEX in 10 days. Who else?
Hi guys!!!! 3 more days till the big day!!!! I'm really nervous & feel like I still have many things to review. I took Kaplan's qtrainer 6 today, got 66%. Not sure how these results compare to the actual NCLEX. I feel there's so many things I haven't covered yet. All my friends have passed the NCLEX their 1st time, I'm scared of being the 1st one not to pass. I'm super stressed!!!!

NCLEX in 10 days. Who else?
Hi guys! I'm testing on July 23rd and I'm starting to feel anxious . I've thought about changing my date because I won't have time to read the Saunders book & I was really hoping to go through it before the test. Who else is taking it soon? What are your scores?

need suggestions... laptop or tablet?
I really love my macbook air, but it is really expensive, so I know is not an option for everyone. But, try to look for one on the smaller side. I promise you won't carry a heavy laptop to school in addition to all the books you will have to take to class. My friend got a notebook and it worked for her. :)

nclex monday! 7/8

need suggestions... laptop or tablet?
I graduated from Nursing school in May and in my opinion you wont need a tablet for nursing school. I believe a laptop will be of more use. Not long ago I was were you are now & I wanted an iPad "for school." Truth is that I barely used my iPad for studying. On the contrary, I would take it to school and watch youtube videos when I got bored. Not saying that you will do the same, but i found my laptop to be of much more help. I remember I used to do study guides in my iPad, but it was way easier in the laptop. Also, when you are in nursing school you will probably share your notes with your friends and not all of them own apple devices, which makes it complicated sometimes to share stuffs. In addition, you are not allowed to take an ipad/tablet to clinicals, actually they don't even let you use your phone to look up information, without mentioning that a tablet could easily be stolen at clinicals. Any-who, everyone has an opinion. I wanted an Ipad and I got it, but ended up buying an 11' macbook air for school (small & almost weightless) Today, I still mainly use my iPad for gaming and my laptop to prepare for NCLEX. So in summary, to me the laptop will be a better option, if you end up deciding to want the laptop get a small one, nothing big or heavy because otherwise it will be uncomfortable to carry around and you will end up not taking it to school. As advice, I recommend those starting nursing school to print out the professor's ppt and take notes on them, or convert the ppts to word documents. In my 4 semesters of nursing school experience I found that to be the best way to take notes. Good luck to all of you :) :)

Stressed out.got my att should i scheduled now or wait till i feel like ready
I scheduled my test as soon as I got my ATT & got it for next month. I want to allow myself a 1 month of studying before going. Let's see how it goes. I plan to study everyday all day long. I'm pretty lazy, & if I hadn't scheduled my test already I wouldn't have been studying at all. I kind of need to feel pressure so I can study.

Miami Dade College (MDC) Spring 2013 Gen. FT/PT& Accelerated Nursing program
MDC is the best nursing school in Miami. They have the best passing rate in the Nclex. I wouldn't recommend other school if you want to be a good nurse. Also, employers prefer MDC graduates to those from other schools. I know the school is not perfect & I've being frustrated myself several times, but there's no doubt in my mind that I chose the best nursing school out there. Jchirino, we have the same last name. :) good luck. I'm in my last semester of nursing school. If u have any question feel free to email me. :) & good luck to all of u guys. Nurses rock!!!!
