  1. You do not have to go through The College Network to get into ISU's Nursing Program. You can review ISU's program prerequisites and take the requirements at your local community college. All The College Network will do is sell you books to take advanced placement tests. They do not offer courses that you get credit for. And you have to find your own test center and pay out of pocket for the AP testing. Additionally, most schools will only accept a certain amount of advanced placement credits. It would be cheaper to buy your own study guides and do the AP on your own, if that's what you're interested in. If not, go to your local CC and take the courses.
  2. Try NCSBN Learning Extension. They have alot of NCLEX style questions on there that are written by the same people that write the questions for the actual NCLEX.
  3. I just took my NCLEX on Oct. 22nd. The computer cut me off at 80 questions and I was sure I failed!! I was in tears! There was ALOT of SATA and medications I'd never heard of. So when I got home I started doing the PVT and got the same response as Butch, " The candidate recently passed this examination. A new registration cannot be made." PLEASE let this be true!! I've been checking it all weekend and getting the same response. And I've clicked every button on there in every combination and still get the same thing
  4. Thank you so much everyone! After reading your comments and support, I feel motivated enough put my head above the clouds, push through all that negativity, and ace the NCLEX! Why can't all of you be my nursing instructors!! :redbeathe
  5. I'm not sure how I should feel about a comment my instructor made recently about my class. We are in out last term and most of us are on edge thinking of all the exams we will be having and then the NCLEX on top of that. We are all working to stay positive in our thinking. But our instructor, who is also the Director of Nursing, told us that he, and his secretary, are taking bets on all of us as to which ones are going to fail the NCLEX. Talking about throwing a wrench in the motivation and anxiety. After that almost of the class had the wind taken out of our sails. I was wondering if anyone else may have had a similar experience and what advice you might have to help keep motivated nurses to be, motivated.
  6. Oh and GRATS on passing the NCLEX!!!
  7. Thanks so much for your feedback!! I'm definitely going to do more research on other schools :)
  8. Hi, I was wondering if anyone has heard of the LVN program at West Coast Ultrasound Institute? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I can't seem to find anything about their LVN program other than they are an approved program by BVPNT. Thx :):)
