  1. Yeah I get what u are saying about the instructors and some of them could be a pain but I was very thankful to get a really good teacher who has been doing L & D for like 34 years and she loves her job and was just awesome in class as well as in clinicals. I guess I lucked out.
  2. It is all about how you approach the clinical rotation. MY OB clinicals were actually extremely pleasant and I enojoyed them. I finished my OB class with an overall score of 98% and was told by the teacher of clinical rotation that I should look into specializing in OB once I get my RN because I have a gift for it she said.
  3. I personally would get an LPN and then just stay as a surgery tech if u love it so much. But by having your LPN can just make u more marketable in the future and also easier if u plan on doing LPN to RN bridge program. I am currently looking for a LPN to RN bridge program myself. There is a guy that went through the same LPN program as I did but like 6 months earlier that was a surg tech and he still is, he said he makes less money but doesn't want to work in LTC. So he is taking BSN classes has an LPN and works as a surg tech.
  4. Well the thing I have been told from my older LPN friends and my nursing instructors through LPN school is that every 10-15 years they try to phase out LPN's then come to realize that they really can't. Eventually the need for LPN's will pick back up. Just takes time.

Hey everyone. I am a new LPN as of december 09. I put myself through a hard 1 year program and passed my boards in 90 questions. I am looking to go LPN to RN program near me in toledo ohio, but every place I check out says it will be about 2.5-3 years to get my RN because my credits from my LPN program don't transfer and I have to do pre reqs. I was just wondering if there is any help for me I am trying to get my RN or BSN ASAP. I am looking for in class or online courses. Just want to get it done so I can move to the next step in my education. All help is appreciated.
