  1. I do not know if this has been posted but I know that all colleges and programs will have different teaching and study methods. I was wondering for those students or nurses that are in or have graduated from Fresno City College Nursing Program, what are the professors like? for the courses do you need to read the textbook from front and back or can you study off the lecture notes, read what is pertaining to the lecture notes in the textbook and what is normally in the italics and side boxes within textbook? Thank you, Heather
  2. In addition, it all depends on school. We were given a list of things we had to know for lab, we where not quizzed on all aspects just the specifics things they believed we needed to know. Lec was all memorization of the notes.
  3. I am taking anatomy right now. I have found that histology is not bad, pretty simple, just memorize, it the easiest of all subjects. I studied for histology by taking pictures and labeling the back and quizzing myself like double jeopardy. Bones are not bad but time consuming for there is allot of memorization, I did the same take pictures and memorize. Muscles is a nightmare on elm street. I do recommend in finding others who have taken this class and see if you can borrow their notes, lab book, etc. to start studying, and have someone quiz you.
  4. I forgot to add at my state college, science courses are the deciding factor if you get in or not. each school is different, the city college in my town accepts students based on a lottery, my college goes by grades. So I would recommend look at other colleges see what they require and take the required courses and have them for back up, that is what I am doing.
  5. The pre-req are: Intro to chemistry, Human Anatomy w/lab, Human Physiology w/lab, Microbiology w/lab, English composition, Fundamentals public communication, Critical thinking, and math. allot of this is GE requirements. In addition, you must take Nutrition, Psychology, Lifespan Development, Philosophy of ethics, Statistics, Cultural anthropology or Principles of sociology, or Social problems to complete the BSN.
