I took BIO 141 last semester and currently in BIO142 - all online. Exams need to be taken at a NVCC campus in most cases. We do have a few students that are not local and they make arrangements to go elsewhere (probably via another school close by) so if you are not in the area, check out if you can work something out.
I'm currently taking prereqs for nursing/pre-med. I just did a paper on the L.Ac. profession since I thought nobody else in the class would be presenting it. If money were no object, I would definately study TCM. Right now, I'm thinking more of nursing combined with holistic practice. I'm currently a Reiki Master and Yoga instructor.
I'm in the same boat - I have a BS and MS in Computer Science but I'm looking for my 2nd career. I've looked at the direct combined BSN/MSN programs in my area - that's a lot of time and money (in my local area, my only options are expensive private Unis). Right now I think I'm going for a RN through my local community college. The state of Virginia has nice programs to fund MSNs but you need at least a years experience. I figure I'll work for a year or two then see if NP is really what I want.
I love this place! I just recently saw information on Cardiac Rehab Nursing and found this form. My passion is fitness and I'm looking for a career change. I am considering nursing and taking prerequisitsts. I plan on finally getting my Personal Training certificate through ACE this summer and start Nursing school next year. Sounds like this is a new, exciting area that would be perfect!
