  1. shescoolie- be confident you are correct! 7.71 mcg/kg/min
  2. There are soon to be level II students who will be posting their level I books for sale- keep an eye out on the tenth floor for postings
  3. Clinicals will begin after 5 weeks into the program, during the first 5 weeks you will meet with your clinical instructor and learn hands on nursing skills- as a heads up, these nursing skills will be tested later in the semester as part of Foundations of Nursing grade- congratulations on acceptance
  4. Orientation is a whirlwind of information- day one was TEAS testing for us as well as a writing test. Day two you will meet everyone associated with the program as well as UMD itself- Dr Tate, some professors, security, financial aid, IT, etc. It is trying, but pay attention to each presenter; alot of good info, but alot of info for one day.
  5. brush-up on A&P 1&2, dimensional analysis or conversions and get a head start on medical terminology- that will help lighten the load prior to school starting
  6. Congratulations on acceptance- I am in the new level 1 Fall 2010- plenty of work to do and depending upon your life outside of school in terms of support, it is very do-able- but expect to do school work on a daily basis- 7 days a week- formal lecture classes are on Tuesday and Wednesday, labs on Thursday and Friday with practice skill labs through out the week- lots of reading, some writing, group projects in every class- you will be forced to get to know the people in your class! I enjoy the challenge and the pace, the instructors and my classmates- so far, I am impressed
  7. I answer to myself and no one else. The person looking back at you in the mirror is the one you have to answer to every day. go to drwaynedyer.com- and check daily inspirations.
  8. Ethanpark- I am about to begin classes at UMDNJ for the accelerated BSN this Fall- I received my admit letter last week- undergrad BS gpa is 3.2, master's degree gpa 3.5, pre-req's retaken this past fall and spring was a 4.0. I have worked fifteen years as a college strength and conditioning coach, the last four years in a private business training athletes in Maryland and Virginia. Hope this sheds some light- BTW I was also admitted into Rutgers accelerated program, but was initially wait listed then admitted one week before their classes began and I had already made a commitment to teach this summer and NJCU denied me completely.
  9. If any consolation... I have a 4.0 gpa, a master's degree, as well as a 94 on the HESI... the question I have for all, when did you actually apply and if you do not mind, what was your pre-req gpa and HESI scores
  10. Can anyone truly really confirm if they have received anything from NJCU- everytime I call I immediately get Samantha Younker's voice mail and all emails are returned with : the letters have been sent out.
