  1. If there is a Walgreens in your area they hire nurses to do screenings, five flu shots, etc. If not Walgreens, maybe a clinic.
  2. Sad to say, I also was ripped off by this con artist. I wish I had gone to Allnurses sooner!! At least I am going to be able to be refunded by my credit card company. This is ridiculous!!
  3. I was actually just the opposite: I also had previous degrees, so I decided not to do the graduation, ( been there, done that!), but I wanted to participate in the pinning ceremony because this was something different, just my nursing classmates, our instructors, and families. I really enjoyed it. But, to each his own.
  4. I also just read this thread, and I must say it is absolutely amazing! How are you all doing today?
  5. I completed an accelerated nursing program last August, I was 48. I passed NCLEX on the first try. You can definitely do this!
  6. Hey guys, I just NCLEX in November, and I definitely recommend LaCharity. I had a LOT of priority questions, and so did several of my classmates who took the test then. I also studied Prentice Hall. Passed the first time. God bless all of you!!!
  7. I have not read everyone's post, but I would say that the procedure should have been explained to the patient before you all started, and all questions should have been answered. I'm not sure from your post how it was done, but waiting until a procedure is in progress to explain to a patient what is going on is probably not be the best approach. And, the physician probably was distracted while trying to concentrate if you talked through the entire procedure. Listen, you are not perfect, and you will make mistakes. Just make sure you learn from them and don't repeat the same one twice.
  8. I am scheduled to take NCLEX next month. I have taken the Hurst review, and am now studying that along with Reviews and Rationales by Prentice Hall. I am going to get Lacharity after reading these reviews, but I do have one question: What is pvt with the good pop up?
