Hi Kellyma, the school district changed it's name to Twin Rivers.. so that's probably why you couldn't find it on google. The price is now around 16,000 not 8,000. This is a link to the site: Twin Rivers Adult School: Home Page There's not much info on the site but I know the pre reqs are anatomy and physiology, med term and cna or ma license.. and there's an entrance exam. the program is part time and lasts almost two years.

Hello Natalie, Yeah, pre reqs take some time. Some vocational schools don't have any pre reqs but it's cheaper to take a&p, lifespan, psyc, nutrition, ect. elsewhere.. what other schools have you looked into?

I'm extremely nervous about the work load too!

Kaplan is closest to my home but all the bad reviews have made me mark it off the list lol Everyone I know that went to western says they regret it. I was told that the LVN program at SJVC isn't offered in Sac..? I've heard the most success stories from students at unitek. The cost of tuition for all these nursing programs are discouraging!

Hey Mmmmark! I was stuck on this as well but have finally decided to pursue my LVN first. The wait-list seemed fine a few years ago but now that I'm 22.. I just want to get things going! It's a difficult decision, do what's best for yourself and keep us posted!

They do have an LVN program that's accredited. My mom went there and some of her friends. There's a list of all the accredited vocational nursing programs in CA on this site: http://www.bvnpt.ca.gov

California LVN programs are ridiculously overpriced...

The length of the pre reqs @ Charles A Jones are different for each course. Anatomy - T/Th. - July 20, 2010 - 18 weeks - 530pm-830pm Pharmacology M/W - June 2, 2010 - 9 weeks - 530pm-830pm Twin Rivers is another adult school that offers an LVN program for $12,000. You need to have CNA, med terminology and anatomy completed. Only prob is that the program is part time and almost 2 years long.. but that might work for some people..
