I received my financial aid awards for fall and spring semester already also. . . just not summer. I was previously a UCF student but haven’t attended since 08 and never received financial aid before. Not sure why it is showing up for some people and not others. This is all very confusing.

how long did it take to show up? just wondering before i call and harass the financial aid office again because mine still isn't showing up...

Has anyone heard anything else about summer financial aid? I decided to go with the insurance provided through UCF. I like the price of the GoBlue but makes me a little nervous cause it doesn't cover very much. Wish I didn't just turn 25 so I could have stayed on the parent's plan!!!!

I got the grey...not very exciting but I wanted a light color and they didn't have very many options.

The color options were lacking though in comparison to the classic colors Not a big deal I know . . . but i really wanted the lilac one!

No but I wanted a good scope that I can use after I graduated. I work at the ORMC now and asked around and that was the one that most of the nurses recommended and actually none of them work in cardiology. I also have some freinds in the accelerated program now who recommeded that I buy the cardiology III. They ended up purchasing it after they already bought the classic so I just figured I would buy it now rather then spending the money on the classic and them turning around and buying the other one as well.

Just purchased all my books from Amazon and the total was 840. I ordered them all directly from Amazon and not third parties that sell through Amazon so I got free shipping. My total included every book on the list all new, including the Davis's Drug Guide, which will be shipped as soon as it is released. I did lots of research and found Amazon was the best option for me! Feeling much better now that I took care of that! I also ordered my scope from steele.com. The total for that was around 150 for the cardiology III and engraving, which was the best price I could find for that scope.

in regards to ormcs tuition reimbursement it’s not as easy as one would think... i work at ormc now and researched it before deciding not to work while in school. you have to work here a minimum of six months before you qualify for the benefit then you have to work a minimum of 24 hours a week and maintain that while your taking classes. they reimburse you after you finish the classes and you have to agree to work at orlando health for a year after they give you the money. they do not fully cover the cost, they give you up to 3500 a year depending on your status as full time, full time variable, or part time. if you didn’t have to sign a contract and agree to work here i would consider it but i'm not sure i want to stay in orlando and seeing as the program is really intense i'm not sure i could handle working and school at the same time!

Juliehope42, Glad to know Im not the only one paranoid about this whole summer loan thing! It is strange that they do it so late...especially for someone like me who likes to plan in advance. I have never gone through the financial aid thing before and I am pretty sure everyone at the financial aid office is sick of me calling with all my questions! I am a UCF grad as well and we do not have to go through the UCF orientation again...one less thing we have to do : )

Does anyone know how to find the facebook page that was created for us? I tried searching for it but no luck.
