Pharmocology test for new hospital position... Help!!
Im taking a pharm exam tomorrow for a new nursing position. The blue print said 40 questions.. 28 multiple choice, 7 med math, and 5 listing questions. Okay I have the med math down however Im concerned about the multiple choice and listing questions. Are the listing questions about the 5 rights?? I have no idea what they mean by that! And the multiple choice... is it anything like the nclex or is it basic knowledge? I just need some piece of mind. Thank you!

Rehab Nursing advice please...not a real nurse?
I just accepted a position on an acute rehab unit as a new grad. Now Im very excited and happy to be starting however Im feeling a bit discouraged. Im hearing from some people that nurses whom work in rehab (physical med) are not real nurses. Real nurses work in the ER,ICU and medsurg floors.. some people want to know why Im wasting time there and they are also saying I will lose all my assessment skills or so on. They also think Im just going to be passing out meds and lifting people all day. Im sure these are the same people that disagree with psych nursing as well. Ughhh I just need some advice Thank you!

Med Surg and Patho
Study, study, and study! Med/surg and Patho are hard but if you take them together, like you said you are, most of the time they compliment each other. Do all the review questions at the end of the chapters and any other you can get your hands on. Most of your questions for med/surg are goign to be application questions, like "what should the nurse do first"? and "what would you expect to see?". As for Patho, it's a little trickier. Patho is all knowledge, which is great!! Because you will never again get a class where the questions are mostly NCLEX knowledge questions. Focus on your ABGs, artierial and vein diseases, burns, different types of anemias and blood types, and also cancer staging (and wounds!!!!). Everything is process of elimination when it comes down to it on the test. You'll do fine! Good luck!

Is it okay to not like an aspect/feild of nursing?
I currently in my 3rd year of nursing school and got a job with a home health care company. I work as a home health aide on the weekends. Well today I was with a client and I was at my utmost uncomfortable potential. He has a very rare neuro disorder. He was blind, garggled speech and can not move but he is totally coherient.I am very capable of caring for him but It is emotionally exhausting and I cant shake this feeling I have. I was on the verge of crying. Is this normal? I dont think it is. Idk. Is it okay to not like a certain aspect of nursing? I tried telling my boyfrend about it and he dosnt understand where Im coming from. He kept telling me I was being a baby about it and he does not know why Im going into nursing if I cant handle this. I can totally do blood, vomit, and diarrhea, but this I could not and I dont know why. Does anyone know where Im coming from? Thanks alot!
