Hi Jenn, Yeah, me too. :) I applied in 2008 and finally got in this Spring. I thought I was going to be starting in Fall 2011 but was wrong. I just want to start already and finish. I know it will go by really fast though. I know that we have a lot to do for orientation. I also know we have a pre-test for math. I heard its a general test on proportions, ratios, decimals, you know basic stuff and also anatomy and physio. So I am going to review some basic information since its been like 3 years since i had math but dont worry about it. Just review from now until then. I guess we have to wait until orientation to receive all the information we need. I'm going to try to send you my e-mail address privately so that you can e-mail each other until we meet on orientation week if thats ok. Hello There, Thank you very much! I know I'm so excited. I hope the informaition the nursing department gave me was correct. Could you imagine if they gave me wrong information and instead of starting in the Spring, I start in the Fall? but its OK just as long as I start next year. I will definately post as much information as I can for everyone. I already purchased one book and will be purchasing the Pharm books next. Just FYI- the Pharm book will remain the same but the Fundamentals of Nursing will upgrade to 9th Edition. I'm trying to get a heads up on everything and review my A&P too. I keep hearing to brush up on math and know your calculations. So that is exactly what I am doing. What number are you? Just remember the time will pass quickly. Look we are already in October then Christmas, then Spring again. Yikes! DD

Hello Mommabear3, I know. I am so excited! Looks like we are going to be in the same class. :) The Nursing Department said that we should be receiving our acceptance letters in November or December. I know we are going to have a 4 day orientation, (I believe) That will probably be in January sometime. Just heads up in case you need a sitter or take time off work. Hello There, Yes, I am ordering my book too. Dont wait. Start reviewing as soon as possible. In that way you dont stress so much. Dont worry about so much but definetly start. It wouldnt hurt you at all. When I start in the Spring, I will let everyone know how the class is and what to study for. DD

Hello Everyone, As of right now they are still accepting 60 students. I think this the break down of how they do the letters: January Letters-Spring 2011 Accepted Students May Letters-Fall 2011 Accepted Students. In between they mail out a letter in August just to let you know your position in the class. It is a bit confusing. These are the letters and times I received them: Applied in March 2009 First Letter August-2009 Second Letter-January 2010 Third Letter-May 2010 Fourth Letter-August 2010 Fifth Accepted Letter-November-December-2010 (This is what the lady told me from the nursing department) Accepted Spring 2011 Total wait 1 1/2 yrs. Trust me I remember crying when I got my first letter thinking I was never going to get in and now I will be starting in Spring. :)

Hello There, You will be starting in Fall!!!!!!! :):):):) Because you get 101-90 =11. So your next letter will be in January and then in May. In the May letter it should tell you that you are starting in August-Fall-2011:yeah: DD

Hi Everyone, OK, so I called the nursing Department and they said that the class for Spring 2011 has not been selected. So that was my bad and when you call make sure you speak to --------. She knows everything better than most. So the next letter will be in January and in these letters it will have the 60 selected for Spring. So, I will be starting in Spring!!!!! :):):):):):):):) Spring Semester starts in Middle February. I hope this clears up some confusion and is good news to some of you. DD

Hi, WOW! That is good. What number are you? The staff said that the Spring class is filled. They already selected their 60 students. I will be starting Fall 2011 which starts in August. Now if some students decide not to attend, our number will go down even more but I highly doubt that 40 will withdraw giving us a chance to start in the Spring. DD : )

Here are my numbers: Applied March 2009 First Letter-499 Second Letter-336 Third Letter-133 Fourth Letter-40 I am hoping to be accepted for Fall 2011. If they dont decide to keep cutting the class. I already took the test and passed. So I am just waiting. Does anyone know when are we suppose to receive the next letter? Keep your heads up! DD

Hey There, I know it is frustrating and believe that the Nursing Department does not want to leak any information out. We just need to hope for the best! I even hope they go back to accepting 96 students! But yeah that is just me hoping.:) I can't wait to receive our new letters! I will post mine as soon as I get the letter. Keep your head everyone! Hello There, I am sorry to hear that this is happening to you. You have been so nice and helpful to me and I really appreciate it. I am glad that you are going to defer 1 year so that you can recover and be ready. I am also happy too because I am still on the waitlist and am planning to start next year in the Fall too. So we will probably be in the same class. Remember, yeah it sucks to have to wait but what are you without your health? Take care of you first! It is such a blessing that the Nursing program is willing to work with you. Hey, maybe we can both start studying for the Pharm and Medical dosages. A year will be here tomorrow!
