Hi guys! First off, I want to say how much I love this site and its ability of providing communications to all nurses around the country. I haven't been on this in a while so I am trusting that this forum will provide some insight as people reply. I am an RN for two years now that has a BSN and a CCRN. I work both in pediatric ER and adult SICU/CVICU. I have been applying to a BSN-DNP program and applied to George Washington University. I honestly had heard good but very limited things about this program. Turns out I have been wait listed for the program I really wanted (University of Miami) and got accepted into this school! I am very excited and tried to call the University as soon as I found out but they were closed. Does anyone have any feedback about this school? Would help ease a lot of curiosity on my end until the beginning of the week rolls around. I do not know anyone who has been in this program. I am from Miami, FL and so I have some questions about out of state tuition as well. But any information would help me! Thanks!

I spoke to the advisor of Undergrad Admissions for the Nursing Department. And we should only be receiving letters so I am checking my mailbox everyday lol. I'm getting really anxious to be honest.

Great news guys! Supposedly we should be receiving something in the mail this week or next week latest. This is great news.

Mr. ******* did tell me by phone that there was a delay..I didn't ask why though. He said by the end of the month we should be receiving something for sure. I am nervous also but I don't want to check as much because I feel like we still gotta wait some more. Its driving me crazy as well....i love UF! lol

Prep neck, I believe if you have all the prereqs done by April, then you should be fine as long as you turned in a final transcript. For reassurance, I think you should call Ken from the Nursing dept over at UF. I called this week and they told me that we shall be receiving something in mid June. I almost fell off my chair! lol I was hoping we would hear something in the upcoming week but I guess I'm being too hopeful.

guys, I am going OUT OF MY MIND! I am dying to see when we get our status letters! I heard we will get a response in late May but what if we don't get our responses 'till early June? I am going wild. Has anyone heard anything by any chance?

AfroBella, this sounds awesome! Every time I hear more about UF's nursing program, I get even more excited! Lol. I heard we will be hearing back from UF at around the beginning of June. Is the program still five semesters long?

And the second would be if you happen to know anything about nursing admissions this year? Hopefully it will not be too competitive. Sounds like I'm hoping for a little too much lol. hey guys! i also applied for the nursing school of 2010. I have a 3.49 gpa and am transferring from MDC with 73 credits. I would looove to get into nursing school but I find it very difficult as well. I was not into many clubs since all I did was work. I am latin and a female but I am sure thats not going to make up for much :/. So i am trying to be positive in getting in but I really see it as a long shot right now. :-( hopefully i'll get accepted!
