Kaplan College ADN SD May 2014
My meeting with the DON is May 5th @ 10 am and orientation is May 8th at 4 pm. I was told at orientation we get our badges, scrubs and schedules, I could be wrong, but I believe that is what I was told.

Kaplan College ADN SD May 2014
Has anyone else gotten their date for orientation and their date for meeting with the DON yet? Just hoping to meet some other students from the same cohort that might be attending the same meets and orientation that I am.

Kaplan College ADN SD May 2014
Hi Samantha! I am not an LVN but a Certified Surgical Tech with 8 years experience. My KTP scores, I only remember my math score and it was an 89%. I used the TEAS exam book to help me study for the KTP, it helped a lot. I hope you are selected in the second round for May!!!! Let us know!

Kaplan College ADN SD May 2014
I have a different advisor. She is awesome! Very on top of everything. My transfer credits are already being evaluated and I should have all my G.E.s done except maybe one. I am not sure if there are multiple dates for orientation or not. I do know that is the day you have to turn in your completed physical and copy of your BLS card. Also we are going to be scheduled in small groups of 6-8 to meet with the DON to get our schedules and talk more about the program if we have any questions but that will be after May 8th orientation.....at least for me it is.

Kaplan College ADN SD May 2014
I filled out two forms (basically asking how I found out about the program and why will I make a good nursing student and who do I have as support people, questions like that) and scheduled my financial aid workshop for tomorrow morning. I have my orientation date scheduled as well for May 8th at 4pm.

Has anyone else gotten their phone call about being accepted into the May 2014 ADN program at Kaplan? I got my phone call yesterday morning! I was so thrilled! I meet with my advisor on Thursday to go over all the paperwork and get everything moving! I can't believe it is finally happening!!!! I would love to know of anyone else who is going to be in the same cohort!

ITT Tech was later cleared of those charges.

I go to ITT-Tech...
I got about the same kind of feedback in California. The general education classes at ITT Tech may not transfer to other colleges, but I am not worried about that, I have already done all thoses classes, HOWEVER, the CORE nursing classes are the same and will generally be accepted as along as the I am eliglible to sit for the NCLEX after completing school. So many people worry about transferring credits but I have had regular community colleges from one state not accept credits from other community colleges from another state I am talking regular math classes, sciences classes, just regular stuff, I have moved often being military or a military spouse. Everyone has to make their own decision about what school they wish to attend and other people should respect that. You have some people who go to the best nursing schools and are the worse nurses and some people who go to schools that are just getting up and running yet they are wonderful nurses. I am a certified surgical tech and have been working the O.R. for 5 years and I have seen all kinds of nurses.

I go to ITT-Tech...
I got an 86.5 or an 87.5 can't remember exactly but I already got my acceptance letter for the March class for 2011, so you have a very good chance. I wanted March 2011. Which start date do you want. They normally don't send out acceptance letters until a month before the class start date but I am actually moving from 1 state to another to go to school so I was able to get my acceptance letter early so I could plan and move ahead of time. Also, if you have any of the general education classes done that will cut way done on your cost too but if they are over 7 years old ITT doesn't accept them. My English classes are older than 7 years HOWEVER I talked to them about the Comp I and II and since I have already taken it even tho it has been more than 7 years I can take the test and if I pass then I don't have to take the classes and I am pretty good in English, I will just skim over the Clep book before I test. I have almost all my general education done so I just have nursing classes to do. Good luck to you.

I go to ITT-Tech...
Hondros of Ohio is in candidate statues for nlnac from June 201o to June 2012 and ITT Tech is in candidate status from June 2009 to June 2011. Anyone can look this up on thier website under nlnac candidates. Hope this helps to clear some things up.

I go to ITT-Tech...
I got my offical acceptance letter yesterday in the mail! I start 3-14-2011! YEA!!! That's when I wanted to start. I have to move from San Diego to Phoenix to go to school so I needed the time but I am so excited. Orientation is 3 weeks before school starts. Anyone else going to be attending at the same time?

I go to ITT-Tech...
I took mine in Phoenix a month ago but all the sciences were removed the night before I took it. The school got the call the day before I took the test informing them of the change and the acceptance pass number was moved from 70% to 75% and they showed me all my test scores about 15 minutes after I took the test. Maybe you should go back and ask to see them. You spent all that time studying and then taking the test the very least you should be able to know you scores. My scores were printed out and placed in my file. I am not going to school until March 2011 at ITT Tech so everything is just kept in my file until needed.

I go to ITT-Tech...
I took the Hesi in May and you cannot bring calcolators with you. You have to leave everything up front in the room. There is a calculator on the computor for you to use. I hope this helps you question.

I go to ITT-Tech...
There's only 1 math section with 55 questions, then 3 other sections, one is reading comp, one is vocab, and I can't remember what they call the other section but it is all English. Math is the place that bought my score down a little, I got 100 in some of the sections. Now I am just trying to figure out how I am going to pay for school. It's $53,000 here, but thankfully, I will have several college courses transfer over, however, they won't accept anything over 5 years old, so my Comp I and Comp II won't be accepted but I can take the test and as long as I pass with a C, I don't have to take the couses. So not too worried about that.

They give you scratch paper and a pencil but you have a calculator on your computer to use too. Know you conversions from metric to standard and military time, roman numbers all of it, it's all on there. And you do have a time limit. I forget how long it was, I was the first one done in my group so I don't remember how long you have, but there are 4 sections and 55 questions in each section.

I go to ITT-Tech...
I took the Hesi at ITT Tech in Phoenix 2 weeks ago and scored 87.5 and it took me 122 minutes to complete, not too bad. I am wanted to start the March 2011 class there as I would have to move from San Diego with my family. Just get the study book that they recommend and practice the problem in the back of the book.

I go to ITT-Tech...
I am interesting in going to ITT Tech in Phoenix. I am scheduled to take the Hesi exam in May. I am coming from San Diego to take it. I have alot of pre-reqs done but the wait lists are 4 years here and most schools just sign you up and you just wait the 4 years until it is your turn. I was wondering how hard the Hesi exam was. i have the study guide they recommended. I was told that after I take the exam I would know if I was in the program or not. I don't want to start until next March, I have to relocate and everything, but I just wanted to know how the school was from someone who was actually in the program already.
