Future_RN

Hi As most of you know im 14 and am already looking into colleges. Well where I live theres a technical college (2year college) and I was wondering to become an RN how long does it take ? Also if I need more years can I stay at the 2 year college even if I have been there for more than 2 years? O by the way I did get the shadow kid job. Im going May 17th to the hospital and my mom is going to make me a scrub shirt. I think it will be cool. Also I get to stay at the hospital for 3 hours and when I get back to school (1:00) which will be after lunch im going to wear my scrub top to school. Cool huh? I dont care what other people think about me. Well I do but not that day. I think it will be so cool to become an RN. I just hope that a Technical school will be okay instead of a university because its right here in my hometown and I will be able to live with my parents and raise enough money for me a house. Hi Im sure everybody knows by now that I am shadowing a nurse for my shadow kid job. Well its been 1 month since I found out that I could do it and weve only got 3 more weeks of school after this. Im worried that I wont be able to do it because my dumb counselor is to lazy to call the hospital and ask if any of the nurses would do it. If I had to shadow one of yall how many of yall would let me? Because im worried that the nurses dont want to do it. And Ive waited to do it for the whole schoolyear and I guess I got my hopes up but my teacher said that I would but I dont see how with only 3 more weeks left of school and guess what? Then I will be a freshman in high school. Oh yea I cant do any college prep courses this coming up year in 9th grade. Hold on and let me get my sheet and explain it to yall. Ok My math courses for 9th grade will be...... applied problem solving. For 10th grade it will be Applied Algebra. For 11th grade I will take Geometry or Mathematical Money Management and for 12th grade it will be Algebra 2. Ok Is that enough for me to become a nurse even though I wont be in college prep classes. I would LOVE to be able to go to the University of Florida which of course is a 4 year college. This is driving me crazy. And we have to have 22 credits to graduate high school which i dont understand but thats my life. Destany

Hi Im sorry to bother you again but some of my teachers put me in regular classes for high school but I want all college prep classes. So I talked mom into putting me in college prep classes. My only problem is this im afraid im going to fail the casses although now I make A's and B's. I need some opimions. When I get ready to go to college (im almost in high school) I want to go to University of Florida. Anybody going there? If anybody is or used to email me at [email protected] I would like to go there to I guess I would mayor in Medical or something. But I would love to be put in all college prep courses so that when I graduate I can go to a 4 year college (UF). Hi My identical twin sister and me are 14 and we will be going to high school in August. Yesterday we decided to go shopping for a shirt for the state science fair that we won and ended up buying 3 outfits each. And we ALWAYS dress alike. Well guess what? We got totally different outfits!!!!!!!!!!! Im so happy. Not that we never didnt like dressing alike but I just got tired of everybody asking why do u dress the same and stuff like that. I get my feelings hurt really easy and Bethany could care less so i guess the reason I started dressing different is so people would stop nagging us about dressing alike. Oh and theres one more thing. Today we are getting our hair cut different!!!!!!!!!!! Our hair is short and Bethany wants to get it cut because to her its gotten too long but im going to tell the lady give me a style to grw my hair out so that when I become a nurse I can put my hair back into a ponytail. Hi Im sorry to keep bothering all of you. Im sure I am. We are on spring break and Monday we are going back to school. Then we only have 7 more weeks of school left and I will be a freshman in high school!!! How lucky can I be? :'( Im dreading it. The only thing that I am looking forward to is the nursing elective. That stinks. But the school is awesome. But the thing im going to hate is all of the homework. Im sorry if people misunderstood me but im sure some of yall when you were my age didnt want to clean bottoms. But im sure i will get used to it. Like I said im a loving person. I hate being kinda yelled at by people that got mad or heated at my post. I mean I could deal with delivering babies that doesnt bother me. I would love to see the miracle of birth. Destany

Hi again Sorry to be a nucence but I was wondering if it is true that in order to do what I want to do in the hospital which is working on the L&D floor or in the baby nursery I must work in other places? Because yalls stories on wipies butts have traumatized me. LOL And I dont want to do that. Destany

hi spring break is coming up this coming week :) . but i have to wait for like another month to be a shadow kid because they need to find a nurse that will do it. i just hope that i dont get a nurse like godzilla. weve only got like less than 2 months of school left and then after the summer i will be a freshman and doing my ultimate dream learning how to be a nurse :) . nursing runs in my family so ive got nursing in my blood. but i dont want to be doing the jobs like some are yall do. im not in for cleaning up a patient. all i would like to do is be in the baby nursery or work in l&d. i am really nervous about starting high school because i just moved here in august so i dont know a lot of kids. also im afraid i will get lost. also i need some advice. ok you see we already toured the high school and the kids are supposed to tuck in their shirts but none of them did so there is basically no dress code because none of the kids follow the rules so next year should i or shouldnt i tuck in my shirt? also a lot of the girls my age wear stuff that i dont like im as real plain jane so i was wondering should i get clothes like them or not worry about what they think? im really self concious about myself and what other people think of me. destany

:balloons: hi yesterday was open house at the school and i made the a b honor roll. i was 6 points away from a honor roll. i had a 89b in math, a 87b in science, a 88b in social studies and an a in language. so now im going for a honor roll to show them what i am made of. hehe and ive got great news. ive been picked for the shadow kid:) . i wrote mrs daniels a letter (my homeroom teacher) and told her why i wanted to be a shadow kid and she said out of everybody`s mine was the most sincere and sweet note. so i hope the nurses i get are nice. destany
