  1. Once again, sorry about the typos. I'm using my phone to respond.
  2. military def varies by facility. I hated it at first. I worked at a place that rhymes with shwalter shreed and was misrrable. It was a direct reflection of the constant "dog and pony show", angry civilian counterparts, and politics in general. Its unfortunate because the care given to clients in certain areas was stellar and almost incomparable. As a whole, though, it was just a dismal place. I just PCSed to Madigan...i mean Shmadigan, and i love it. I have a totally different outlook and actually enjoy coming to work. I never thought i'd say that. I guess just see where you end up. Best of luck to you! :)
  3. Gahhhh, typos! Sorry, I am replying from my cell phone!
  4. I love it. I've been deployed as just a whiskey and reenlisted for m6 school. The nursing aspect of the school was amazing and we learned stuff that is, according to our civilan RN preceptors, on an Very high level. I'm stationed at Madigan now and i love it. I hated med-surg at walter reed bc alot of the people came off as inarticulate and miserable. Not the case at madigan, though. I actually wake up amd enjoy what i do. it's very rewarding. The only catch is, you're still a combat medic (68W)first, LPN second (as currently, its an addon school/ identier--that's the M6 part--and not an MOS), so if you end up as needs of the army, you may end up working as a whiskey again. This generally wont happen if you het assigned ti a hospital unit. Its far more likely in a field unit. With that being said, if you can tolerate the "hooah" aspect of the school and learn all you can of the nursing, you'll love it!,
  5. Well, the military will not move your car for you unless you go OCONUS. as much as it sucks, you're gonna have to use your own time and means to get our car there. Most people use their travel pay an drive because its significantly cheaper than having a company ship it. There are some websites where yoy can get quotes for the cost of shipping your vehicle, but they can get pricey. Another option vwoild be to find a friend to store it at their place until you have the time and means to do move it. Its a crapoy deal, but bits doable. (I just PCSed and drove 48 hours straight with a 2001!) Good luck! :)
