i'm taking it May 3rd online at the Los Angeles NU. Pretty nervous about the class itself, it sounds pretty intimidating.

Good luck, I hope you get in. Are you applying to the Los Angeles campus? I'm applying in July after i finish my biostat class. I'm really nervous now because i got two B's and a C in science, and my overal gpa is only a 3.6 or something. Gosh, I really don't wanna take those science classes over! What version of the test you took? I started studying the 3.0 version but not sure if it's the version v they give now.

Thanks ladies. I really appreciate all the tips and advices you guys have given me. I'm really excited about this whole journey. I've been placed on the alternate list twice at the college i'm currently attending, but that won't stop me in becoming an RN. Prior to this, i was a surgical assistant for an Oral&maxillofacial surgeon for over 4 years. I decided to quit my job and persue a career in nursing because i've always wanted to become a nurse. I wish both of you guys the best in your studies and in the workplace. Good luck, future RN's!

Gotcha! Thanks expharmgirl for clearing that. I'm applying for the generic entry bsn. I heard that the generic entry and the accelerated bsn applicants are competing for the 20 slots? I'm attending the info meeting tomorrow, so i really hope thats not the case because wouldn't that lower my chances of getting in when people who are applying for the same slot as i am already have their rn license? I mean, wouldn't you think they'll only accepts people with their ADN going for their BSN? Cause if thats the case i may need to rethink about NU. I'm already paying over 2,000 to take the biomed stat and eng online for a month long just to apply early.

Thanks Elle Guerira and ExPharmagirl. Now, i been hearing about this "cohort" thingy. What is that? Also, as far as the essay, is it a random questions they'll ask that you really can't study for? I'm taking the eng II online in June at NU to complete my prereq. for the July app. deadline. I hope it helps in terms of writing a good essay that "they wanna see." I'm also taking the Biomed stat in May online as well. How's that class? Is it doable with 3 other classes i'm currently taken at a jc college which ends on the 2nd week of May?

Thanks for your replied. I didn't retake any of the science classes. So, i was wondering if i should or not. Now the 50 spots that were chosen, does that include both accelerated bsn and generic entry students? Also, i'm getting ready to start studying for the teas. Do you know what version it is? I just wanted to prepare myself for everything because i really need to score good in it to even being consider into the program. The fact that they only accept so little students, kinda discourage me if i had to compete with applicants with their bachelor. I feel like i have nothing on the table for them to even consider me

Sorry to hear that you didn't get accepted. I'm sure you will the next time around. I have couple questions if you don't mind me asking. I'm looking into the generic bsn program. I'm starting my biomet stat class online in May and English class in June so that i can apply before the july deadline for the October class at the LA campus. I'm really nervous now on how they select their student. I have a 3.5 overal GPA. 2 B's and a C in my science classes. When i spoke to the admission lady about my science grades, she said it's not a problem because i didnt have to retake any of those classes. Which, supposively thats what they look at. What should i do? Also, i was trying to ask her what the proctor essay was all about, and she couldn't tell me anything. Any advice on that? thanks, any advice would help.

congrats on getting accepted. I'm starting my biomed stat, and english online at NU and looking to apply in June for the class that starts in Oct. My overall GPA is 3.5. 2 B's and a C in my science. What are my chance of being accpeted? I went to see the couselor at the LA campus and ask about the proctored written test. I have no idea whats it about. Any advice on that?

Wasn't accepted to the RN program at LBCC, now what?
don't feel bad, i was on the alternate list at lbcc for spring 2010. Everyone told me that "if you're on the alternate list, you will get in the next time." well guess what, i wasn't accepted again. I'm so stress about getting looked over twice!
