  1. for your reply. Now that makes sense..a latex allergic rxn. I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed until I find out. I really prepared for this exam. I hope I pass. I can't wait to be an RN.
  2. I was hoping I'd have more so I can prove what I know. My last 10 questions were priority questions. I got a lot of priority questions. Does anyone know if those are the high level questions. I didn't get any new format, no fill in the blanks. A ton of med questions, like what is the side effect. My last question was who would you see first 1. a pt who just had thoracotomy complaining of pain while coughing 2.a pt who had some kind of bladder cath inserted 10 min ago who is anxious and have generalized itching 3. a pt getting tube feeding who had 3 loose stools in the past 4 hrs. I don't remember the other selection as I completely eliminated it. I picked #2 since I was thinking the pt probably get some kind of allergy reaction from the cath inserted (but I haven't heard of anyone getting that :uhoh21: ) Please anyone let me know what you think. How do I know if I was in the higher level questions.
  3. A lot of my friends who already passsed reviewed through Kaplan course for about a month. Although the questions are not similar the content is the same. I finished Kaplan course and will be trying for the second time tomorrow at 8 am. I'll let you know if the Kaplan course helped me. A lot of my friends strongly recommend it. That's all they used to pass. But then again everyone is different.
  4. I did the online course. The video clips are about 30 hrs worth of lecture. They are very long and could get boring. But I just really have to push myself to sit and listen to them. I'm done with them. I probably went over the Kaplan course book about 3-4 times. Many say the Kaplan trainer CD is extremely hard. I'm getting 65-77% on it. Right now I'm going over the course book by myself, (just reviewing it by myself) Everything makes so much more sense now. In between I do questions from the Saunders Q & A CD. I will be taking my Boards on June 4th. I just keep praying and praying that I will not get nervous. I have to tell myself that I can do this.
  5. Hi, what kind of Pharm questions did you have on your Board exam on Saturday. Would you give me an example. I'm taking mine soon.
  6. thanks Kyti for responding. May I ask you what you mean by level I, level II,etc.
  7. Do you work 12 hr dayshift and emergency surgery at night? I hear you're also on call on some days. Do your weekends too?
  8. I'm from the Philippines and I think what's happening is not so good. I could undertand though why the doctors want to be RNs. My aunt is a doctor there and makes $400 a month. A new grad nurse here in California could start at $60,000/year. However, you mentioned their bad attitude towards nurses, don't worry that wont be tolerated here. And besides they will not be MDs here, they will be nurses. I could understand your frustration.

  10. Are you in the Philippines? It sounds like you're nervous about taking your Board Exam. If you need someone to talk to you can PM me.

  12. Ione, I suggest you call BON. A friend of mine got 75 questions and she didn't see her name on the website after checking for 10 days. Finally, she called BON and they said they are missing her fingerprint. So they fixed it, the next day her name is on the website, she passed. Call BON to see if they have all the paperwork they need.

  14. Remember everyone who passed the exam walked out feeling like they definitely failed. The exam measures which level you're getting 51% right. And if you're in the analysis application level then you pass. Don't give up. I know it's easy for me to say but try to keep yourself busy until Wednesday when you can check the website. :) :balloons: By the way how many Pharm questions did you get.
  15. Good luck Yvonne. Remember to get plenty of rest before your exam tomorrow. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. You can do it.
