There's no "point system" in CUI ABSN Admision process. Cumulative GPA is combination of your undergraduate GPA and GPA of classes you take after BA/BS. The program is competitive in nature. You are competing with an average of 200~ applicants for 35-40 spots in the program each admission term.

Yes, CUI welcome ABSN prospective students to apply regardless of their background. No, religion has no bearing in admission. You are, however, required to take 6 units Theology classes upon confirmed acceptance into the ABSN. No, religion is not part of interview questions.

That will be the case with CUI as well. If you didn't recieve an e-mail from counselor by next Friday, it is safe to assume that you are not invited to the interview.

newbetonursing, For admission purposes, TEAS test is not required for Concordia University, Irvine. You will, however, need to take TEAS test after you get accepted into the program (around 2nd week of classes).

Ashdash, To re-apply, you will need to submit a new online application. Admission can re-use some of your documents (ie. transcripts, etc). Most of the times, it is optional for you to update your letters of recommendations. E-mail counselor to discuss your files' requirements for re-applying. Yes, interview process is a mandatory process of admission if you are invited. There is no guarantee that those who are in the waitlist this cohort will be automatically accepted into the next cohort. All will be depend upon the applicants' pool of the next cohort.

Ct22 & meggiemarie, 15 applicants are being put in the waitlist. There is no precise answer regarding what is the chance for status change from "waitlist applicant" to "acceptance students". Acceptance students have until next week to make their decisions before admission offer their seats to waitlist applicants.

Applicants would be notified sometimes next week (tentatively) if they are invited for interview.

Interview questions are gear toward applicants' academic and overall fit to the program. Concordia University, Irvine is a Lutheran based university. References to faith/religious will be frequently made by faculty and staffs on campus.

Jay, Typical approved course is English Composition (College Composition). Each college has a different name for such course. Counselor will need to review official course descriptions before approval of any pre-requisites.

Jay, GPA is calculated by taking a combination your Bachelor degree's GPA and any other classes you took (or will take) after your BA/BS. You are allowed a maximum 2 In Progress classes by the deadline (Fall or Spring). Once you are accepted into the Nursing Program, you will be register at CUI for 6 units Theology classes. You must completed the classes with a C or better before you can register for nursing classes. You will complete Bioethics during the last semester of nursing program.

Starghadeer: Concordia, CA accepts 30 students for each cohort (FALL or SPRING).

Concordia (CA) has not send out any decision letters. All decision letters will be send out after the Easter Holidays.
