Would like to make nursing friends
Congrats on passing the CNA exam!! It was not too bad, right? I am in my third semester of nursing and will graduate in Dec 05-- I am sure a nursing home would hire you as long you have passed the state exam!! I do not see why they would not. If you want to continue on to nursing school when it was time---Just a bit of advice is do not base nursing on working as a CNA. It is much different than being a nurse. I am just saying if you get tired of doing CNA work; Nursing is alot different> Hospitals are awesome to work in as CNA. Get your experience and then transfer to a hopspital, I think you will like it more. You get a wide variety of clients instead of only geriatrics. However, I am a fan of geriatrics. Anyways, sorry to go on and on.... Good luck to you and I am sure you will make a great CNA.... Be good to your nurses and Be good to your patients, ofcourse!! :)

Ok all you smarties, need some advice!
Yes, great idea getting your micro out of the way--------i would just browse your anatomy and that fundamentals book about assessing would really help----do not go too far ahead because it tends to be too overwhelming. I am half way through my first semester nursing now and nurse assessing is our main focus--good luck!!:)

Any advice???
If I were you I would just go for the RN program if you can get in. The program is not that much longer and you will make alot more money. There are always programs starting in the fall but the overload of applicants is the problem. I am sure you could get aid or at least student loans. What state do you live in? Go to a community college to start you make the same as graduating with your bachelors as you do with your associates and you are still a RN and take the same boards!! Good Luck to you!!!!
