  1. Hey everyone! I'm supposed to write a discharge plan for a hypothetical pt and am having problems getting started. My assignment is to write discharge teaching for a 16 yr old girl who just had a healthy baby but has no support. Her family won't let her come home after she is discharged, and want nothing to do with the baby and the father of the baby isn't in the picture. I'm supposed to present it to my class as if I am talking to my pt. I already started researching local support/resource groups I can tell my pt about and maybe some child care classes but got stuck there. This is my first discharge teaching and any ideas or if anyone could point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  2. Congratulations! I'm waiting on my acceptance letter for the Fall 2010 semester, should be any day now. If you don't mind me asking how many points did you get - on the 16 point system - that got you into the program? I was ok with the wait but now that we are supposed to get out letters next week I am getting kind of nervous!!
