  1. I was able to enroll today so hopefully everyone was. When I did get into the classes they said 15 of 60 or so spots were taken so possibly some people may have to wait until UCF orientation. I am assuming the Mosby Nursing Video DVD and the Fundamentals of nursing text with Mosby's nursing video skills set are 2 different items? Just wanted to check before I pay for them both... :) Got my scrubs yesterday, the jackets are sold out right now but I was going to check if we can use our own if we have them (I have 2) and not sure any details on the lab coats.
  2. BDiv that is awesome, I was looking on Half.com and that wasn't helping me much since they were all going to be shipped from different sellers. I'll go to Amazon. Did you use a certain seller? If so I'd like the info, I refuse to pay full price for something that is just the same but cheaper elsewhere Angela I also added most of the UCF books into my cart and it was around $1200, not including the Drug Guide or 3 other books I found online. No way jose! I'm going shopping online tonight. I do have to go get the patches from the book store though right? Or does the uniform store have them? I'm checking them out this Saturday AM to try on some stuff. It really stinks, I work in a doctor's office and have half a closet full of scrubs, white and navy included, and lab coats (2). But they aren't the same style so I have to go get more!!! Love talking to you guys!!
  3. I've been poring over different sites for book alternatives, and once you add shipping for each book I think UCF wins out. I'm going to the UCF bookstore this weekend to find my own darn used books! See you all on facebook :)
  4. Hatter, my acceptance email stated I am accepted pending completion of Chemistry. Other than that everything else is done. Have you applied to UCF, just the college and not the nursing program? If so, look at your degree audit after you log into myUCF.com. That will show you what pre-reqs they know of, all of mine are there including pending classes this semester. Also, on myUCF look at your transfer summary report to be sure all of the test scores got there.
  5. Yes, I was a readmission. If I don't do orientation, how do I register for classes? I currently have no date under "enrollment time" and I really want to know what classes we are supposed to sign up for, etc. I thought it would be strange to have to go thru orientation all over again!
  6. Hey everyone! Man I wish I had read some of these posts last week when I was freaking out waiting to hear from UCF! I thought I was the only one. I know someone had said they received a postcard about orientation, I haven't gotten anything except for the CPR email. I of course had just taken a CPR course and they're not sure I would have to re-do it through their company, figures. When I attended UCF (graduated in 2003 so it's been a while) I lived in The Gatherings and they were pretty nice then. Far enough away to not be a major party place but close enough to get to class on time. I know the semester is going to be CRAZY but we can all get through it, right?!? :) For the person asking about grades and such, I have a 3.6 cumulative GPA, 4.0 for the science pre-reqs, and got an 88 on my TEAS. I was honestly thinking my cumulative wasn't good enough but apparently it was! I keep checking my emails, mailbox, etc. for any information about the program. I think it's so weird that we have to go thru another orientation, especially since we've all been through the process before. I have tried registering for orientation twice now and both times an error message comes up, "Invalid SIS/ First name/ Last name". I don't know if this is referring to my PID, but I triple checked it and that's not the issue. I hope to get into the one in April, I really need to figure out my class schedule so I can find childcare for the summer! (My son is going into kindergarten in fall). Any other moms with young ones out there? I'm nervous but so excited! I live in Oviedo right off Alafaya UCF is not too far.
