How did u like Alabama's program? I am completing the Adult/Gero program next semester and am looking for a DNP program. I'm not overly happy with the program but it was my alma mater. Not much teaching from the faculty. I'm looking at Frontier. Thoughts?

I have been accepted into the Adult NP program for fall 2012. Anyone else on this forum attending this program?

I wanted to apply for ACNP however when I spoke to the advisor she was discouraging. I was informed there were no preceptors in my area and I would have to find my own. I applied for adult instead and will be starting in the fall. Best Wishes!

I am out of orientation and HOLY CRAP! How do u keep up with everything. Patients on q2..doctors new orders...beeping MD for critical lab results....then charting to cover your a.... Anyone have suggestions for a newbee on how to keep u with all we should during the day?

Good Luck..I just finished one myself! I worked in the ER as a phlebotomist on the weekends. They said it wasn't possible to work but I did...granted it wasn't a high paying job but it took care of business! Good luck!
