  1. sorry folks for the disappointing news because I've been through one myself...Just know that every disappointment is a blessing!!! Evansmom, this is the first time am hearing this "6 month" rule b'4 re-applying. I initially applied and got rejected for the Jan 2011 cohort. I got my letter last April and out of frustration and anger I emailed the coordinator /adviser to know when i can re-apply. she said i can re-apply for the next cohort (may 2011) which i did last may but I didn't continue with the interview process cos i got accepted by two other schools... So i don't know where you got the "6 months" stuff from...In doubt just contact the coordinator cos she has the most accurate information... Danigirl10, You will have to submit a new application but you can keep the same essay. But to be on a safe side, you might wanna write a new essay cos you really dont know why you got denied at first especially if you felt good about your interview.....
  2. Don't be nervous about anything because she would not tell u what is in the letter...but rather she would tell u when majority of the letters were sent out
  3. Hey folks, For those of you wondering if decision letters have been sent out, contact the lady that emailed the interview schedule and she will respond promptly/same day. She's ********* assistant and letter's are sent out from her office.
  4. Is just crazy how people will come on here and say stuff that lack credibility without any research...I use to work as a resident care aid and i wasn't trained for no 2 hrs on medication... I was trained on medication, culture, diversity, rights of a patient for a whole month (M-F, 8hrs a day). I was educated on some specific drugs including their adverse effects.... Also i had a diabetic patient..i checked his glucose level 3 times a day and would give insulin if necessary....after all diabetic patients give themselves insulin at home....you dont need a nurse to administer that.... finally, It can be a scary thing for "CNA's and RCA's" giving medications.....But medication error do occur among nurses too expecially giving the wrong dosage.....
  5. Yes, second round interviews for only CD2 applicants.... Thanks, and good luck to u too...
  6. I didn't apply to the emu program...Didn't know about the teas until the last minute.. 300+ applicants is a ridiculous #..what other programs did u apply to?
  7. hi, aarin80, i applied to the cd2 program for fall 2010 and had my interview last week. no interviews for traditional applicants. they also have second round of interviews scheduled around 1st wk of june for applicants finishing up with pre-requisites. so i assume we wont hear anything until middle of june i think.... so katie, do you know how many applicants applied for the cd2 program and how many they are accepting for fall 2010? thanks.
  8. Hey folks, EMU and Wayne state are not really popular on this site. I was just wondering if anyone on here applied to either program for fall 2010? Or has anyone been contacted for an interview or heard anything about fall admission? Not a lot of info on emu or wayne on this site.. Thanks
  9. @ nrsstudent2010 and MelBell2005 sorry for the news. Do you mind sharing your previous degree's gpa and Nursing preq gpa? Thanks..
