  1. Hello I am after people's suggestions about what they have done/management have done to their unit to make it a better place to work/ better place for patients, etc. What have you found has been implemented that has in some way helped to make the unit you work at a better place?
  2. Hello all, I am after advice from Australian nurses who have spent some time working in the UK. I plan to do such some time next year. I am basically after any information you are able to give me about your experience. Where to work/where not to work... what areas are affordable to live in... any information at all you can offer to someone who is about to do this. Any useful web sites would be handy also. Thank you for your time.
  3. Yes, I have heard of this treatment being used, and apparently, it is rather effective! It repopulates the bowels with normal flora.. so in theory, if you think about it, it seems quite logical.
  4. Hi there I am thinking about commencing my psychiatric nursing training next year, but firstly I would like to hear some views from nurses in the field. I am a female, of petite build, and I kind of get the feeling that in this area it is not a good way to be. I have discussed the issue with a few male psychiatric nurses and they feel that females such as I become an easy target for victimisation or munipulation by patients. I have only had 6 weeks experience in the field, and during this time I did not experience such... however, I would like to hear others views regarding it.
