Chattahoochee Tech RN Program January 2010
I understand completely. I'm trying to prepare my 3 and 5 year olds for less mommy time. It will be tough, but at the end of the day it is ONLY 14-18 months and in the grand scheme of things, that's not so long. It will be quite challenging, but worth it in the end! See you in January! I hope the 1st class didn't scare too many people into not returning!! Have you registered for the class yet?

TEAs study guides
I got the TEAS Version 5 study manual on Amazon for around $23. It was well worth the money and made a HUGE difference in my score. Also check the website: Test Prep Review | Exam Practice for ACCUPLACER, ACT, GED, GMAT, GRE, LSAT, MAT, MCAT, NCLEX, Praxis, SAT and other Test Preparation and here: ENG 1001: Punctuation: Commas

Chattahoochee Tech RN Program January 2010
The version of the TEAS exam that Chatt uses is 4.0 I used the 5.0 ATI study guide and got it on Amazon.com for about $22 with free shipping using Amazon Prime (free for students). The lowest TEAS score was an 84.something and the GPA cutoff was 3.0. Basically, you had to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on the 6 required pre-reqs. The students were then decided by taking the top 50 TEAS scores from the pool of applicants that met the minimum GPA requirement.

Chattahoochee Tech RN Program January 2010
Chatt Tech must graduate it's first ADN program with an 80% or better pass rate on the NLN exam. The first class is scheduled to complete around May of '11. At that time, they will receive full accreditation. I have been accepted into the 2nd class that begins in January. I am not worried that they will not receive accreditation. Are you planning to apply?

Georgia Highlands College Spring 2011
Wow, I don't know. I'm pretty sure that they gave those seats away. I'd call Nancy Rawls and BEG!

Georgia Highlands College Spring 2011
Good luck to everyone today! I was accepted at Chatt Tech and have decided to go ahead with that program. I'm still interested to know if I had a chance at GAHighlands though. Lesuga, I'm sorry that you didn't get in this year. You should have applied to Chatt Tech, I am confident that they will get the accreditation following their first graduating class this May. Graduating a NLN passing class is standard procedure with any new nursing program. Apparently, their LPN program is quite respected and on the recommendation of many nurses, I've decided that the risk is minimal. Also, Georgia Medical College has a very intriguing direct entry MSN program for anyone currently holding a bachelor's degree from a discipline other than nursing. It's 16 months and you have a Clinical Nurse Leader Master's degree. If I lived closer, I'd take that option in a heartbeat.

Chatt Tech ADN Winter '11
That does seem to make sense to me. I know that Kennesaw is currently accepting for their BSN program. I'd be willing to bet that a few people might opt out of Chatt that have been accepted into that program. I think that there is every reason for you to be hopeful.

awarner16, any word yet?

Chatt Tech ADN Winter '11
That could be. I heard this information only from a friend had emailed the dean b/c she hadn't received acceptance or rejection.
-
Chatt Tech ADN Winter '11
I really hope that you get it! I heard that there were 16 people on the wait list.
-
Chatt Tech ADN Winter '11
I don't know of anyone rejecting but that is only because the only people that I know are people that very much wanted to get in. I'm confident that there are people that probably applied to multiple schools and might accept elsewhere. The lowest TEAS score that I'm personally aware of that received acceptance was an 84 point something.

Chatt Tech ADN Winter '11
Yes. I received an acceptance letter on the 13th! Yippee! Some have also received rejection letters. I think that if you've heard nothing, you are on the wait list for open seats. People that received acceptance letters have until the 10/22 to accept their spots--after that, they will start to give them away to people on the wait list. Good luck!!

I'm hoping for Chatt just because I don't really want to drive all the way to Rome!
