Sorry for the laaaaaaate reply. I actually got out of the army in 2012 and moved back to my home to Florida and went to Nursing school here. I ended up getting my BSN and I passed my nclex on may 11th! Everything happened for a reason. Hope all is well!

I JUST passed my nclex on May 11th this last Thursday and I used UWORLD...I kind of went overboard though. I started UWORLD RIGHT AFTER I graduated and I would literally do 75-150 questions a day and I would take a day off every week to rest my mind. No matter how tired you are you have to consistently do those questions and READ the RATIONALES whether you get the them right OR wrong! I'm sure you've read that plenty of times already searching through these threads. Don't get so bent up on percentages just try to "understand" the rationales. Do questions everyday up until the day before your exam. The day before your exam just review and relax. Hope this helps!

Hello my name is Lachell and I am in desperate need of help. I am an aspiring nurse and I attend my local community college. When I was young and dumb (17) I made a big mistake as a minor and stole from my job. I was charged with Grand Theft (3rd degree felony). Because it was my first offense I was entered into a diversion program. The charges were later dropped. I turned my life around and I am now a 23 year old Army combat veteran and I have just now received my paperwork from FDLE saying that my record is now expunged. Although this is great news for me, I am nervous because I know in the RN program you have to go to different sites to do clinicals. I was told by the coordinator of the RN program at my community college that clinicals are conducted at several different sites but the only one that does fingerprint search is our VA hospital. And Everyone should know that even if your record is expunged, whenever someone does a fingerprint search your demographic info will still come up. I have already talked to the CNA coordinator and she told me not to worry about my record because I dont have to do my clinicals at the VA, just remind her of my situation when I register for the course. I've also talked with the NC BON and the representative explained to me that any charges dismissed or expunged will not be held against me, just to make sure I tell the truth about my criminal history on my application for my RN license. So all that's left is the RN program. So the question is: Do you guys think my VA hospital will let me conduct my clinicals with my record? and if not.. Will I be able to ask the Nurse in charge for a different rotation to avoid fingerprint search? Please help me, and if you've been in this same situation please let me know. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

@Devin Rex Thanks for your reply! My ultimate goal is to become an RN but the community college I'm applying to requires you to be CNA 1 certified before you can apply. So I'm really just trying to avoid a heavy workload.

I think I'm going to go with Chemistry as well guys. I talked to one of my classmates in A&P 1 who has already taken the course, and she told me that CNA 1 is pretty much common and that I would be better off taking it with Chemistry than with A&P 2 because A&P is more time consuming. So I've decided to take it with Chemistry! Thanks for your reply!

Hello you guys & gals, Is it better to take my CNA 1 class with Intro to Chemistry 2 or Anatomy & Physiology 2. I have to pick one.

OMG Congrats! How was the selection process? On average how many competitive points should you aim for to be selected in to the program or an alternate? Are the teachers adequate to instruct? How many points did you have when you applied? Can you only apply in the fall? Sorry for the many qustions...I'm just really trying to figure out if it's a good college. As of right now next year I'm applying for FTCC and Robeson....but I keep hearing so many good things about Robeson CC.

My name is Lachell and what I want most in the world is to become a nurse. I'm an active duty soldier and it was hard for me to take my a & p1 class at Fayetteville Technical College so I dropped the course with a grade of 76(which did't count) Usually that's a C but at FTCC it's considered a D, which will not fly in any nursing program. I also had a Lecture Professor that was extremely hard on her tests compared to other Professors. My question is, Fayetteville Tech cc is on a 4 point scale, are there any other colleges not far from fayetteville that are not?? Or are there any other colleges nearby that have great a & P professors. I only have 1 more chance to take this class. I want to make it count. Thanks in advance!

hello, i am a perspective student who is interested in the LPN program at ECPI in raleigh,nc.My goal is to become an LPN first then bridge to RN.I talked to a counselor and she said that i didnt need any pre reqs for the lpn program at ECPI,but will i need them to bridge over to rn? Also does anyone know how long it takes to become an LPN at ECPI if i take the evening classes,i heard the classes are from 5pm to 10pm. thanks for the help:)
