  1. I took the test yesterday... 140 questions and got the good popup. However, 4 of my friends all took the Kaplan review course and they were all done with 75 questions. I studied the Saunders and Kaplan books, but didn't take the review course (I wish I had but it didn't fit into my schedule). It seems like Kaplan will teach you how to answer the questions even though they might not teach you the material. Good luck to you!
  2. I just graduated with my degree in physiology and was accepted into a second-degree program. If you believe you can pull your grades up then I would stick with your degree in sociology and then try for a second-degree program. Remember, classes will only become more challenging as you continue college, so work hard and keep your head high. If there is no way you can get your grades up enough then you should start looking at "smaller" colleges that still offer a BSN degree and aren't quite as competitive as the larger schools. My fiancee is looking at a smaller school in Michigan; they require "good" grades, an interview, and a written statement to be accepted and it is a six semester (3 year) program, excluding summers. Good luck in your future endeavours and I hope nursing school eventually works out!
  3. 3.6 GPA Michigan State University - Physiology EMT-B experience Health Director experience Student Coordinator (Emergency Department) Student Volunteer - ER Lot of other "outside the classroom" activities. I've gotten into MSU, Purdue, U Penn, and I'm still waiting on University of Michigan and JHU (which I doubt I got into JHU at this point)...
