  1. I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced any kattiness in nursing school? There are a couple girls that make me feel like I'm in middle school all over again, I ignore them but it's starting to get to me. I'm graduating soon and have a job lined up and I've heard through the grapevine one of the girls might work at my hospital and it bothers me. Am I just being totally insecure and overly sensitive? I just don't have much experience with mean girls, and tips would be great!
  2. Hey lyneiwoodard, This is kind of a weird question but do you have any of the syllabuses from the first or any semesters? Or know where I could find them? You've already done a pretty thorough job of explaining it but I'd love to know exactly what the real deal looks like if I can before the program starts :). My email is [email protected]. Thanks so much for all your help!
  3. Hey lyneiwoodard, Thanks for all the info:D! Following this thread has really helped me get a sense of what Emory's nursing program is like. I was wondering what the studying is like, it seems like the week is pretty full (according to your schedule for the first semester). Is there enough time to study between classes or do you feel like you are always cramming it in? I guess what I'm trying to ask is time a really big factor and not just the material. Also do you feel supported by the faculty or kind of on your own? I've read other threads that say at Emory they felt like no one cared about them. I feel like I was lucky to be accepted and more on the average side, I'm worried that I might get in over my head. Any tips on how to manage time and classes? Thanks:)
  4. Hi! can anybody tell me about the NCP? particularly how competitive it is to get and what they look for? Also is there deadline for applying? ANY info would be great thanks!
  5. Hi! I was just wondering since there are very few job openings for new grads if Emory would be an advantage and if so how much? I have been accepted for fall 2010 but am really discouraged because of the lack of the new grad job market:eek: Does Emory help find jobs for new bsn grads? Do Emory grads get jobs easier because of Emory's reputation? any info would be great! I just don't want to go there work my butt off get into debt and be in the same boat as so many other new grads who can't find a job. Thanks!:)
