It sounds look you already have a plan, take any prereqs you need and apply. Just be prepared to explain how you're in a different place now than when you had a less than awesome GPA.

I got the official word today, I've been accepted!

I too contacted Mr. B as I applied to a school not near a base or NTP site. I was also told that I didn't need any special permission. Over the past couple years, the guidelines have gone from "you must apply within 60 miles" to something more along the lines of "we'd really like it if you apply within 60 miles". I think that they've found that at a number of bases, schools or ROTC det's aren't really that close.

Someone earlier in the thread mentioned that they had spoke with AFPC and that the release was between 5-15 Jun. If I recall correctly, last years release was some time between the 8th and 12th. Hope that helps.

I too applied to the NECP this year. The waiting for the news is by far the hardest part. Knowing the board has already decided is agony. Anyway, best of luck to all. Maybe we'll find out Friday.
