I agree. It was fairly easy!! Weekly journal entries that you turn into a journey paper, your capstone PowerPoint and all the steps that lead up to that, resume, and easy discussion posts. I really didn't put much effort in and finished with a 98%. It hasn't really sink in yet that I'm all done!!

Just got my final grade! So excited to be officially done! It's time to celebrate. Congratulations everyone!

I need to check out certification. I thought they required 2 years of critical care experience before sitting for the exam. Congrats!

Congrats ScarletFire! I still need to do 2 discussion posts. I am the only one who has posted in my group for next week. It's a pretty dumb post if you ask me - but whatever! I've been relaxing today! Cleaned up my work area at home and did laundry. No real housework until next week. Next week I start a job at our community college as a medication nurse for the 2nd-year nursing students. The pay is good, and it should be fun! A nice diversion from the ICU!

I just submitted my nursing journey paper - the last assignment I had to do! All I need to do is make a few discussion posts next week, and I am done!! I can't believe we are finished with our BSNs! Writing my nursing journey paper was a great way to reflect on everything I have learned over the past 11 months. Going away with hubby for a few days, and then next week, cleaning this house from top-to-bottom, lol. It has been pretty neglected over the past year!

I was excited to see the course open in Blackboard, then irritated that I can't open the attestation form or syllabus. I was hoping to get a few things done today since I have to work tomorrow. Hopefully, they will get it opened up soon! I'm so ready to be done with school!!

I have heard it isn't too bad. I understand the work builds on the previous weeks (like other classes) and works towards the final project. Everyone states it is pretty easy, but I imagine it must be time consuming, since it is a 5 credit class. Good luck!

I only had to take American Gov't and Texas Gov't. I have a BS degree in Business Management, so luckily I already had taken most of the non-nursing courses. I did double up nursing courses a couple of times, and I really don't recommend it. It fried my brain!

Just finished up Leadership and Management as well as Co-op. I can't believe this long journey is almost over. I started in October 2013 - so 11 months to the finish line isn't too bad! Good luck to everyone next semester!

I was wondering about that too. Looking on-line, the official end date was Friday. I guess they felt they were doing us a favor by giving us an extra day! I'm going to enjoy my weekend off. I start Leadership and Coop in a week, and then Capstone! I applied for graduation today. I am so ready to be done!

I just spent over 30 minutes completing my course survey. I wrote many paragraphs describing my issues with the course. I am also forwarding this to my advisor and higher ups at UTA. They really should be ashamed. It looks like I'm going to finish with a 'B', but it is not my grade I am unhappy with, it's the general BS of this course.

Assessment was a lot of writing. Just make sure you follow the directions for the written assignments and you will be fine. This class was like kindergarten compared to research. I just finished up vulnerable populations and I didn't think it was too bad either.

It's not just the group work. It's the quizzes, the poor organization, the OOH that are a disaster, etc. It look like I'm gonna squeak out a B, but I've put in enough work to earn an A+++

I'm taking management and leadership next and then capstone. I just finished quiz 4 and I'm going to do quiz 5 later today. I'm also taking research now and that's been a bear. So happy to see the light at the end of the tunnel!!

My frustration with this class is the group assignments. We only have 4 people in our group, and we all work a different schedule. So, some of us can participate on one day, but not others. Makes it very difficult to get together and do the work. We did great on the first weeks assignment (98), not so great on the second week's (79). I'm curious to how we did this week... Looks like the work load is a little lighter this week, but I guess we will see. I'm totally bummed that I did crappy on the quiz, so the pressure is on to do better this time, and make sure I get the 70% average. I'm also taking vulnerable populations, and although this class is also a lot of work, it is very straightforward, and a pretty easy "A". I am bummed that Research is going to keep me from my 4.0...

Just looking at our graded papers for this week and thinking what the heck is wrong with this class? Any class that has to have these OOH to take you through each homework question step-by-step has something wrong with it. Then, after following these step-by-step instructions, getting points taken off for stupid things, is absolutely ridiculous. I know there are several people in this class who have Bachelors and Masters degrees in other disciplines, so research is not entirely new to some of us, and this still doesn't make sense. I am thinking it has to be the teachers...all of the students can be that bad, lol! So far, I am going to pass with a B or C, but I graduated with honors with my BS and MS degrees, so I find this very frustrating. I'm thinking the professors or the program at UTA needs to do some reworking on this class!

The OOH is a joke. This is probably the worst class I have ever taken - anywhere! Sigh, 2-1/2 more weeks!

I got a 65, blah! I guess I have to ace the second one. It was a pretty awful quiz...

Well, the second week of Vulnerable Pop is supposed to be the worst, so that's behind me. I've already done the FEMA certificate for the last week of class. Week 3 and 4 of Vulnerable Pop isn't too bad, so I'm thinking I might survive! I am just desperate to be done. Taking Legacy of the Family and Cooperative Nursing next 5 weeks and then Capstone and I will be done!! I keep telling myself it's almost over!!

I HATE THIS CLASS!! There, I feel much better now. This has to be the most ridiculous approach to learning about research I have ever seen. I have an MS in Bio and have taken several research classes. This one has me lost and confused, lol! Spent a ton of time last night finishing up the JC assignment. Our coach is worthless. We are down to 4 people in our group, but essentially 3 are doing all the work. I'm so glad there are only 3 weeks left. I guess I will spend all my days off studying for the quiz, which I have to take on Wednesday, after I work a 12-hour shift. I don't understand the reasoning of not having the quiz open for at least 2 or 3 days. To make matters worse, I am also taking Vulnerable Populations, and the paper this week took forever. However, I have a great coach and she isn't a tough grader. The assignments the next couple of weeks are much easier in that class so I can give all my love to research! Have a great weekend all!

UGH! So I find out today one of our group dropped out - no notification from anyone, so it was a scramble to answer the question she was supposed to do!! I hate this class!!

I'm glad I listened to at least part of the OOH. She really outlined the answers for question 1...not sure if she did the same for the other questions. I need to go back and listen to the rest of the recording when it is posted. It made my part of the assignment MUCH easier!

I'm in a group with the "b" last name people. So far, I'm the only one who has posted in my discussion board. How is everyone breaking up the assignment? I was thinking that since there are 5 parts and 6 people, that each person in my group take 1 question and then 1 person put it all together. I have to work this weekend, so I'm already having a panic attack, lol! I am hoping some others post today. I am through half of the reading. I'm off today and tomorrow, so I have a ton of work to get done over the next 2 days!
