Nursing school in Spain in Spanish
Thanks! I am really worried about the work load, I was an English teacher in Spain for most of the time I've been here and I have heard kids talk about how much schooling they have. But once they get to university they fail like it's no big deal. maybe because school is so cheap or because the kids I knew were a bit of slackers My biggest worry is my spanish being not so great...

Nursing school in Spain in Spanish
Hello everyone, I am looking for anyone whose first language is English and has studied in Spain in Spanish. I am an American and I am married and a resident of Spain. I recently went back to school in the USA but it is really hard being away from my husband and I have to be on a wait list for a year just to get into the nursing program (spokane cc). I am turning 25 this summer and will be able to get into university with just tests in bio, chem, math and a small spanish one. I speak Spanish at a B2 level, higher - intermediate. My questions are: Did you find the system Spain uses hard compared to the states or home country? Nursing is hard enough in your own language was it too hard in a different one? over all experience? What university did you go to? Thanks! /niknik

Spokane Community College Waitlist???
This is about all I could find but it still does not explain why a school would loose it. Is it just a matter of filling out some kinda of paper work or is it how they run their school. because if its the second one I would rather not go to SCC. I will be attending in the fall no matter what to start my prerequis but I would rather not only count on this then. also would federal/va organizations count for military bases over seas?

how is UK nursing programs different from the US?
thanks for the reply! I would like to be in trauma. what would that fall under? and I have read that the goverment pays for it if you have been there for 5 years, but I have not, but can you just pay for it your self? or does the goverment HAVE to do it?I do have a EU resident card, but I am not sure that would fall under that.

how is UK nursing programs different from the US?
hello everyone and thanks for reading in advance! I am from the US and living in Europe with my Spanish husband. I am going to school this next year in the states for nursing and it is very likely that my husband will stay here. Therefore I am trying to find some information about UK nursing programs. Things I would like to know: a) In UK schools is it the same process of getting in than US? such as in the US you have to do a year (or 2) of prerequisite such as Biology, Anatomy and physiology, math, psychology, ect. or are these included in the nursing program? b) Are there wait lists or a point system? c) if I take classes like Biology, Anatomy and physiology, math, psychology, ect. will those classes likely transfer if I decide to go to a UK school? I know this depends but is it likely? d) I would like to be a trauma nurse one day and I see there are very specific programs: » Adult Nursing Advanced Diploma » Adult Nursing BSc (Hons) » Child Health Nursing BSc (Hons) » Child Health Nursing Advanced Diploma » Learning Disabilities Nursing Advanced Diploma » Learning Disabilities Nursing BSc (Hons) » Mental Health Nursing BSc (Hons) » Mental Health Nursing Advanced Diploma Which of these would be the best for someone that wants to work in a trauma field? Thanks so much for reading this and any replies. If there is something I might be missing please let me know!

Looking for a hard core study partner, spokane
Hello, I will be attending spokane community college this fall and I looked for a forum for SCC but couldnt find one and I know there are people that attend SCC that look on these forums as well! so I hope there is someone that reads this and replies I want to get a 4.0 in all my classes (dont we all!) but I have not been to school in over 6 years so its not that realistic. but I am determined to get at least a 3.0 or better and would really like to find someone else that wants to study as much as I do and hopefully have fun doing it as well. I will be starting my prerequisites to get in to the nursing program this fall (2010). and I am looking to get all the classes done by spring, this means taking 2 lab classes both winter and spring quarters. If you are interested please let me know! and we can see what our classes look like. I am a really fun person but really need someone that will study hard! Thanks for you time! /niknik

CC and CNA at the same time?
Thanks for the reply, what I am worried about is how intense the CNA program is can anyone tell me? I think I will have to do a night program for 4 days a week for 7 weeks. I just dont want to over work my self. I dont think Washington requires you to have the CNA before nursing school.

CC and CNA at the same time?
hello everyone! I am starting my prerequisite this coming fall at spokane cc. And after I do my first year I will be off for a year and a half before I will be able to start my nursing program because of the wait list. so I thought getting my CNA would be good idea so I can start working in the field. I will not need to work while doing either of these. I have no kids and my husband will be in another country while I am in school. a few questions I have are: Is it a good idea to do both at the same time? or will I get overwhelmed doing both at the same time? Here is what my classes will look like for the next year (only the first quarter is for sure) 1st quarter: Psych 100 Bio 160 w/lab Math 93 2nd quarter: A&P I with lab chem 101 Psych 200 3rd quarter A&P II with lab English 101 micobio with lab I havent been to school in 6 years and that was highschool. the only time I see I would be able to do it is in the first quarter since I am told A&P is very hard, and my first quarter classes should be the easiest of them all, except English. Any advice you could give is welcomed! thanks for reading /theniknik
